Yxthoshth is a mesmer boss which is part of the quest The Ranger's Path, and one of the first creations of Sybitha. Yxthoshth is the name of the creature in the Losaru dialect.

Beware when approaching him, because there are a great number of Storm Kin in the area, that move around at great speed. Even if you don't see any foes on your radar, you are very likely to be ambushed.

• Yxthoshth's name may be a reference to both Yog-Sothoth and to H. P. Lovecraft's penchant for using bizarre, nearly unpronounceable names.
