Yannel Brunn is a ghost found in the Arid Sea by the feet of the giant statue in that area.
When talked to, he tells of how his people came to the desert seeking Ascension, but petty squabbles among his people led to them creating a powerful weapon that brought down their city.

- In the northwest portion of the area lies an item called the Ancient Weapon, which has been speculated to be part of an unfinished quest involving Yannel Brunn, but he does not react to the item being brought to him.
