Welcome to the wiki, and thanks for that long post! I might use that team build RT | Talk 13:01, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Welcome. —Image:MaySig.png(P)/(T) 17:12, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Dont remove other peoples comments from talk pages. And you can talk to IPS, they have talk pages like anyone else. —Image:MaySig.png(P)/(T) 19:00, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Btw, I was the one who commented on your post. There, now you have a talk page to vent on. I just can't promise to actually answer :) Have fun. NightAngel 17:28, 27 March 2008 (UTC) So the shoe fits huh? Haha. You're far too amusing Havoc. Why would you remove, revert, respond and make all that fuss? Ashamed of something? :) I'm not. NightAngel 12:42, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Not ashamed of anything. I thought if I couldn't answer you, I'd delete you. Didn't know that that was not allowed. When I found out that was a no-go, I made a fuss on principle! Rules or no rules, nobody should be allowed to take potshots at people from hiding. It's cowardly. Don't take offense a that, you did after all identify yourself once you saw that it was important to me. Thanks again for that. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Utter Havoc (contribs) .
Argh! Forgot to sign. Sorry! Utter Havoc 15:11, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

RT, I followed your link to GW:NPA, which is now gone (I didn't do it!). I then went looking for other policies and noticed that they are poorly linked and hard to find for a newbie like myself. I couldn't find GW:NPA over the menue system, for example. Could we maybe create something like a quick reference for policies? That might be a big help those new to GW... Utter Havoc 15:20, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

The (real) Main Page has a link to the policy page, wich links to the Poilicy category. So, any newbie should just read the main page ;) --- Image:VipermagiSig.JPG-- (s)talkpage 15:30, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, that's just what I was looking for. Utter Havoc 15:55, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Ty for entering my skill contest BTW ;)-- - (Talk/Contribs) 17:34, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Actually, thank you. It's rather fun. I think I'll make another....Utter Havoc 17:36, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] User Page

Cute sig. Now rid the red link :P --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 20:55, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Whoo, welcome to userpage city Image:Thoughtful's RT sig test.jpg + Talk 20:58, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the welcome. You know RT, Your older sig really was better. IMHO it had a simple, commanding style with no need for fluff. Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 04:39, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Vipermagi - a big thanks to you for the gentle kick in the pants to get me to finally create the user page. Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 04:39, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Your userpage still looks more organised than mine though xD. Also:
Spam Cobalt This user thinks Cobalt's "Create A Skill Userboxes" are way cool, and plans to spam his talkpage with them.

FTW! The Judas skill is also a really cool idea, though it would probably violate some religious sensitivity laws, seeing as Anet have "Wintersday"-- - (Talk/Contribs) 09:23, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm sure my user page won't stay so organized. It's just new. I like violating religious sensitivity, and since it is just for fun, I'll listened to anybody scream about it with a smile. BTW, I spammed another one at you... Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 19:42, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Never indent userboxes, Cobalt :P And no problem, I like kicking --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 19:49, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
One should enjoy that, which one does.... Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 19:54, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Wow....your right about indenting userboxes...what the hell is with that o_O-- - (Talk/Contribs) 19:58, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Userbox Skills

You know if you created these skills on pages in your userspace, you could just put a template link to them in a userbox, and when you edited the skill page in your userspace, the userbox skill would automatically change, e.g. {{Userbox|id=Icon|info={{User:Utter_Havoc/Skill_Name}}}}. That way it wouldnt get my hopes up thinking i have new messages whenever you rebalance one of those skills xP The result is something like this
Image:Cobalt2.jpg

Ok, thanks for the tip. I'll try it. - Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 09:29, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
You'll need to put any additional info such as aquistion notes, related skills or trivia (basically, everything after the }} on the end of the userskill box template) in noinclude tags (<noinclude>bla</noinclude>) otherwise t'will fork up, to use technical wiki coding terminology-- - (Talk/Contribs) 13:46, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Okay, but without the noinclude tags it still looks good, and not at all forked up. It's just a really big userbox. I even figured out how to put my sig in it, kinda by accident... Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 00:41, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Aquisition

Signet Of Capture

[edit] Notes

  • This skill may have an additional negative effect on noobies, as they take time to check out their characters new appearance.
  • Removing this hex will cause the second dazed condition to be applied, but will end the first condition and revert the characters sex back to normal.

[edit] Trivia

  • This skill is a reference to Bert Horgson, who's legal identity was forcibly changed in 1935 by J. Edgar Hoover from Bert Horgson to Bettina Horgson - from male to female. Hoover then threatened to have him arrested on several occasions for dressing as, and identifying himself, as a man. Bert/Bettina was later identified as a national security risk by Hoover, and confined to a high security nursing home. Bettina Horgson died in 2001, having never won the right to call himself Bert. This is often quoted as the most flagrant abuse of power in American hisory.

If I edit something in one of the edit tags in the userbox, will it also edit the linked page? Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 00:46, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Without wanting to vandalise your pages, all i can say is that it certainly looks that way :P-- - (Talk/Contribs) 16:34, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Vandalize me, please! ... o_O ... ya know, I never expected I'd say such a thing. Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 19:23, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Never mind, it seems it does update the original page. Surprisingly, after saving the page, you end up on the skill's page, instead of this one. Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 23:08, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Those edit links link to the sub page, not to this edit page :P Hover your mouse over the link and check the bottom of your browser to see to what page it links, fyi. --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 23:13, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Thx for the tip. I'm new at this, but learning... Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 23:16, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Ye, the hover thing was what my assumption was based around, however on a wiki things sometimes behave in unexpected ways, so you can never be entirely sure :)...also "Vandalize me, please!"...vandalise you? Not your userpage? Ok, *picks up hammer of loan-sharking*....anyway, i'll remember that comment for later ¬_¬-- - (Talk/Contribs) 15:53, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Can I borrow your hammer of loan-sharking ingame? Some people owe me money.... Hey, there's a great idea, how about a "Design a Weapon contest"! Hah! Nobody's ever thought of that! It's original. It's brilliant! Bet Anet steals the idea from me... Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 12:52, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Rofl, those unoriginal bastards xD, and Z0mG - j00 r bak!!-- - (Talk/Contribs) 14:56, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, my puter died, so I built a new one and spent about a month trying to install Vista on Raid 0 (very ugly), then waiting for Deutsche Telekom to bring out a Vista compatable driver so I could go online... Seriously though, A hammer with which you could wack people in town who owe you money would be a great thing or? I would loan people money just so I could wack them. Everytime somebody called me a newbie I would be offering them cash... Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 16:24, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Rofl, "Everytime somebody called me a newbie I would be offering them cash...", i will find a way to fit that into my quotes page :P And feel free to borrow the ultra-rare skinned Hammer of Loan Sharking :D. Also - Deutsche Telekom? Your american but you choose to live in germany? and they just ripped off british telecom's original name :P-- - (Talk/Contribs) 19:34, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
That is a nice skin! Made for even the hardest of heads. Nothing overly-fancy, just gets right down to business. As for me, I once chose to live in Germany, now I'm just stuck here. My friends, my girlfriend, my job, and more possessions than i ought to own all keep me here. I would love to be back in the Rockies though. I think the Telekom name was stolen from the italians, who stole it from the french, who stole it from the british. :P Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 21:46, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, i prefer the no-nonsense approach to loan-sharking guild wars :) And obviously, all good things are stolen from the british, we invented air, dont'cha-know :P-- - (Talk/Contribs) 11:31, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Mostly true. You failed, however, to invent peanut butter (the greatest invention ever) and the wheel (the second greatest invention ever.) Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 13:25, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Does anybody know

why my contents box shows titles from the userbox? -Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 19:14, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

User_talk:Cobalt/Archive_2 - its perfectly normal symptoms of paranoia, don't worry. Other symptoms of prolonged exposure to the wiki can include "perceiving inanimate objects as alive...." more points available for reference spotters-- - (Talk/Contribs) 19:16, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
'cause those headers are included into the page, they show up on the ToC. --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 19:18, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
so headers in a userbox are not only in the userbox but also in the page... I wasn't sure if this was the case or if the userbox was somehow rerouting the contents box. So, I can go put a user box on Cobalts talkpage which links to a page with a bunch of headers in it and effectively write him a smart-alecky message in his contents box?
Oh, and Cobalt, I believe the reference your looking for is to Halflife Portal. They stole their phrases, however, from the CIA Maual on Coercive Interrogation, Deprivation of Sensory Stimuli chapter... -Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 20:02, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
The fact that you know that is quite disturbing xP, NOW i know what your doing in germany, you CIA spy, you. BTW, kann sie deutsch sprechen? And ye, collect some points for your reference spotting skillZ. Also:Archiving pwns your remote contents box spam - that was hilarious though xD-- - Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 19:01, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
U pwned my remote contents box spam?!! *grabbing 2 big handfuls of points* How utterly disrespectful! *stuffing them in my shirt* It's not every day that somebody goes to so much work to annoy you. *shifty eyes* One should take the time to appreciate that. *grabbing 2 more big handfuls* Und ja, meine Deutschsprachkenntnisse sind absolut fliessend. *whistling innocently* I would be a pretty poor spy otherwise xP. *walking away with points falling out of my trouser leg* --Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 13:21, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
*dies laughing* Leider meine deutsch ist scheisse btw, i cant say much more than that anymore :D aber du ist sehr sehr doof - yeah! It aint NPA if its not in english :D-- - (Talk/Contribs) 14:04, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Du bist* amirite? --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 14:06, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Ja, ja, :( - you dutch people and ur german skillz :/-- - (Talk/Contribs) 14:10, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut. Esp grammar is hard in German :< --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 14:13, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Ah, ich mag deutsche grammar, its just 2 years since i did german - its by far the easiest language to learn from an english person's perspective - far more logical than frecnh, imo-- - (Talk/Contribs) 14:29, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Hahah, yeah, French is weird. It's like Chinese for qwerty keyboards. --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 14:30, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Trying to avoid NPA? Then how about KPA (Keine Persönlichen Angriffe), and don't anybody even start with french comments! Ruin a good talkpage that way. :] - Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 19:32, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Parlé vous francais? C'est....something or other, and so forth - HA! RUINED! SEE HOW YOU LIKE IT! *flees*-- - (Talk/Contribs) 18:15, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
I shall exact a great and terrifying retribution for that!!! *chases* - Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 14:48, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Speaking in accent is nice. Kills Babelfishes :> --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 16:42, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Does it really? The Yahoo thing, or the yellow brainwave-sucking leech thing? - Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 19:02, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
The ones you put in your ear function properly when you're spoken to in accent. --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 19:09, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Yahoo then. Doesn't surprise me. They never get anything right. Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 19:15, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) BTW - your talkpage is in Guildwiki humour category for some reason. Personally i think thats a great place for it to be listed, however the more managerial types will probably notice and get around to complaining at some point (this could take a long time - i dont think they read the humour category very often :P) - however, you er, might wanna do something 'bout that :P-- - (Talk/Contribs) 12:31, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

That'd be because of the inserted skill, which is in the Humor cat. --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 13:55, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Well mine has the category part in noinclude tags so i blame Havoc's skill-- - (Talk/Contribs) 18:05, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
There you go blaming people again.... I put the category part of my skill in noinclude tags, but my talkpage is still listed in the humour category. Any other ideas? - Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 22:25, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
"There you go blaming people again" lol :D - anyways its not showing 'category:humor' at the bottom anymore so i guess everything's fine :P-- - (Talk/Contribs) 09:54, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Userbox. Eat.

This user won Cat 1 of Cobalt's Skill Contest.

Grandiose as ever, ahem-- - (Talk/Contribs) 15:43, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Without a doubt your greatest Userbox to date! You're really getting good at that! - Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 21:48, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Knock

Who's there? *looks as siggy* ups. --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 18:43, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Doctor! - ahahaha etc -- - (Talk/Contribs) 18:45, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
uhm, Doctor who? ( o_O I don't believe I said it!) Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 03:04, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
er...Doctor Seuss! Aha! Didn't see that coming, did you!-- - (Talk/Contribs) 18:21, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Even if you saw it coming, there's no way to stop it! Rar --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 19:12, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Doctor Suess? Not Doctor Who? Argh, I failed... Havoc (Talk|Contribs) 00:54, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
