I seem to come down pretty hard on you and your contribs a lot, recently. I'm sorry if it seems like I'm "stalking" you or whatever...I am well aware that you are always working for the betterment of the Wiki, and I wouldn't want to crush that enthusiasm out of you, no matter what the policies or whatever say. One active, conscientious, knowledgeable, and loyal contributor is worth more than a bucketload of policies.

Sometimes I have to take a hard line, though, especially when new users or fringe users (anons/IPs, those with few contribs, loyal users who nevertheless have few posts...etc). It's my duty as an admin to represent GuildWiki and do everything in my power to make it a safe and friendly place to contribute. If that may involve chewing out more seasoned users sometimes, who are much more likely to understand and recover, then I can do my best to not be overly harsh...but it must be done regardless if there's no other way to get the point across. I can't let my personal bias, loyalties, and friendships (such as they are) get in the way of a clear and objective judgment...because the new user doesn't have that kind of relationship.

So, I apologize if I seem to be picking on you. I am hoping that you can understand, as a fellow seasoned GWikian, that sometimes we take it for granted that everyone knows X User's personality and so they can understand why they did this or that...we assume that everyone knows X User does what they do for the better of the Wiki, always. (Marco's struggles come to mind.) I do my best to give everyone fair and equal treatment, and if you think I'm getting out of line, please let me know. (T/C) 09:25, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Before a DNS lookup, your computor checks:

1. Your DNS cache
2. Your hosts file
3. Your LAN

So, if you place a URL in the hosts file, and redirect it to 127.0.0.1 (localhost) This IP goes nowhere. The computor, when it sees a URL that asks for something in the hosts file, handly blocks the URL (as it can't find anything) thus, you never see the bad site. I kinda wanted to implement my online handle (Aggro) into my sig somehow, because being called Isk8 or Isk, as some ppl have been doing, is kinda wierd lol. On a side note, your edit buttons appear to be malfunctioning. The edit for this section is linking to section 21, when it is infact section 18.
