[edit] Neufrant
Ok... People are saying, because of neufs "will anyone use this skill now?" think, how many skills are used in the pvp game, not all of them, there are an elite 10% of skills that are used, as they get neufed, they will go down, and up, and some skills are never used, it's the way of ballencing, if the game wansn't ballenced, it would be boring, ballencing keeps the game fresh, even if it destroys some things, the challenge is to make new ones up, enough said
+ Talk 19:01, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- They could 'keep the game fresh' by buffing counters rather than nerfing stuff all the time--
- (Talk/Contribs) 19:05, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Lolol. If you buff everything, it'll end up in an insane 1hit KO fest ---
-- (s)talkpage 19:07, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Ideally, every skill would be useful in high end PvP. The vast quantity of bad skills arise because its not actually possible. Buffing counters can give rise to power creep, so mass buffing is as bad as mass nerfing. Lord of all tyria 19:08, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Either way, every update that has a skill in, will have someone angry about it
+ Talk 19:08, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) :@RT power leak? what about it? @Viper:You don't need to keep buffing indefinately, just untill everything is balanced. Besidse which some nerfs are warranted and necessary, but seriously, look at the last 3 updates. @Lord of all tyria: Imo mass nerfing is worse, atleast mass buffing would be amusing--

- Lol, if only :). I always hope Anet will be bold enough to do something like that on april fools day or something. "Power Shot:Target foe and all foes within earshot of that foe and all foes within earshot of those foes and all foes within in earshot of those foes ad infinitum take 9999999999 damage, sufffer all conditions for 1000000 decades, suffer all hexes cast at 30 in their corresponding attribute line for 100000000 years, die, and suffer from lag, error 7 and mild frustration for 3 days. Those foes accounts are then blocked on the pretext of 'gold selling'. (50% chance of failiure with marksmanship 0 or less)."--

- I think they should just have SOMETHING (maybe a special event, special arena, whatever) that has "the good old days". Disable all non-Prophecies skills and revert em back to what they used to be back in the day and let people have some un-power creep'd fun! --Gimmethegepgun 19:33, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

- (Talk/Contribs) 19:38, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) I always thought it would be cool for the gods and the season to play a more active role in Guild Wars. For instance, once each season the governing god will take control and buff the skills of it's followers, but not in the same way. Like in the winter, Balthazar's powers would shift from the biting steels (axes and swords) to the bluntness of winter (hammers). Or maybe, during fall, Elementalists will be in perfect elemental twilight and all of their skills will have a certain punch. Also, mesmers, being linked to confusion and illusion and wisdom, could "evolve" sooner than the other classes, being incomparably weaker than the other classes briefly, and then later become the perfect counter to the new evolutions. The changes wouldn't always occur the same way either... I dunno, just an idea I'd been toying with. --Powersurge360 19:42, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Competitive balance is hard enough without deciding to buff random attribute lines. Lord of all tyria 19:44, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

- Random buffs and nerfs would force a churning game environment. It becomes more about adaptive, strategy-on-your-feet play style than gimics and stand-offish play. It's also less rock-paper-scissors if every once in a while the scissors turn into a cat. --Powersurge360 19:46, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, interesting idea, but impossible to balance, especially since it would pretty much completely solidify the meta during each season. A bit better might be changing season by the hour or something, but still hard to balance. But still, even if some stuff was changed around from what it used to be for the event/arena/whatever, just nuking the power creep for the event/arena/whatever to oblivion and playing uncorrupted Prophecies would be fun --Gimmethegepgun 19:50, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Reinvent the wheel my friend, "The reasonable man adapts himself the world, the unreasonable man adapts the world to himself. Thus, all change is made by the unreasonable." --Powersurge360 19:51, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Obviously it's not referring to changing the entire world at once, but rather specific corners of the world. A man has a mouse problem, but is allergic to cats may build a mouse trap, for example.
- And then, of course, there are the more ambitious, those who want things as trivial as grapes without seeds and vigorously pursue it.
- That point besides, the quote is that of George Bernard Shaw. Slight variation because I typed it off the top of my head. --Powersurge360 23:46, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

- (edit conflict) That's because I didn't know how much you were cheating by editing your own account, doing that is ruining the game for everyone, it's like real money traiding, I do not want that happening - so I took the actions I was about to do the time I realized you had deleted the account.
- This situation is coming out of hand - it all seems to go down to your ego - listen to the community - and perhaps they will learn to respect you - or at least leave you alone. You claim that everyone hates you - this is probably because you have the uncanny ability to annoy whoever is on line at the current moment in time - I for one am sick of it.
- You really need to know when and were to stop a joke - you have been the centre of attention on this wiki for far too long - pull yourself together or it's going to turn really nasty one day. If you don't have the maturity to contribute without creating this amount of drama - then go somewhere else - it is that simple. RandomTime 19:26, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
