[edit] Under Construction

This page is currently under construction.

This is the user page for the Token Cleric, leader of the Slobbery Drunken Sailors[SDS]. We are a guild of about 3 people, only one of which (me) has played in the last month. If you want to join, you can pay your own way in and leave at any time. I don't recruit, and I play for my own fun. I made the guild for one reason: I wanted a cape with a gold, foamy mug of beer.

[edit] Guild Wars characters

[edit] Image:Ranger-icon.png The Fearless Rogue

A female R/Rt with a white tiger and matching outfit. This character name was often used by my wife in Diablo, and I now use it here. This was the character with which I built, tested, and wrote up the Build:R/any Tank Master build. This is one of my favorite characters, though I am constantly frustrated by the fact that people don't believe that a R/Rt can tank. Hopefully, in time, people will understand.

Named for one of my favorite Magic cards, he is a Rt/N who uses the [[Build:Rt/any Spirit Nuker]] build. He can nuke and he can heal, and I have crushed PvE with him. I don't recommend that build for PvP, though.

One of my first characters, she is a Mo/Me who is solely devoted to healing. She is the character that everyone wants in a part, but nobody wants to play: the token cleric. I'm eventually going to do a write up on her build.

A HUGE W/R, he was another of my original characters. He was initially a W/R, but was later deleted to create a W/Mo (didn't realize at the time that it could be changed). I recently changed him back to W/R so that I could charm a bear.

A R/W with a Dune Lizard pet (named Espers. If you don't recognize the names, go read "Path of Fate" by Diana Pharaoh Francis. Don't read any of the sequels, though, as they suck rocks). Though I like the Fearless Rogue better, this is the ranger I use the most because people are willing to accept a R/W as a tank. I know, I know; I could change the class of Fearless, but I like to use some of the Rt skills from time to time.

[edit] Image:Dervish-icon.png Filler Slot

I generally reserve this slot for testing new character and build ideas. My current character in the slot is a dervish/something, which I won't be able to play until Nightfall comes out. I know, I could just delete her, but I think she might be holding something important in her inventory (though I can't for the life of me remember what).

[edit] Current Research

  • The effects of Nightfall on the [[Build:Rt/any Spirit Nuker]] build.
  • The effect that Brutal Mauling has on a bear's damage. I saw a significant amount of damage being done to minotaurs at the Ice Tooth Cave from the brutal maulings, but the damage was not showing up as a yellow number (the only indication was a dramatic drop in life on the life bar of the minotaurs). I was not able to duplicate this on a Practice target, so I will have to conduct my research on the minotaurs themselves. Further research will have to show the type of damage (life stealing, or some sort of strange bleeding), and the extent to which the damage is dealt.
  • A build for A/R that makes it easy to evolve a Dire Pet.
  • A build for E/R that makes it easy to evolve a Dire Pet.
  • A build for Me/R that makes it easy to evolve a Dire Pet.
  • A build for N/R that makes it easy to evolve a Dire Pet.
  • A build for Rt/R that makes it easy to evolve a Dire Pet.

[edit] Recently Completed Research

  • A build for W/R that makes it easy to evolve a Dire Pet. See the results here.
  • A build for Mo/R that makes it easy to evolve a Dire Pet. See the results here.
  • The effect of using Healing Signet in a R/W variation of the Build:R/any Tank Master build.

[edit] Wishlist

  • New Pets for future expansions: Panther, Monkey, and Falcon (something small that flies, but can perch on your ranger's shoulder).
  • Charmable Pets for Factions: Panda, Red Frog, Rabbit, Bull, and Mantids.
  • Staves that give bonuses to Wilderness Survival, Beastmastery, and Expertise.
  • Auction House: No more standing around typing "WTS" and "WTB." Drop it off, get the auction started, and leave. Come back to get the cash.
  • I wish we could get some more consistency between Prophecy and the expansions. Right now, there is no incentive to create a Prophecies character if you have another campaign, as the Shing Jea Island and Kamadan are far superior to Pre-Searing.
