[edit] Image:Necromancer-icon.pngImage:Warrior-icon-small.png Jenna Polveregrigia (Jenna Greydust)

Jenna Polveregrigia

Creation: May 2005

Favourite Equipment: Sundering Sephis Sword Of Fortitude and The Shadestone.

Background: Jenna was one of the survivors of the Searing. Trapped for a long year inside the ruins of Ascalon's Catacombs, she entirely devoted herself to Grenth. The Searing destroyed her life and the world as she remembered, and the god of Justice heard her crying. He gave her power to fight the hated charr, in exchange of her loyality. Should he need her, she had to obey his will. She had to be his blade. With her new strenght Jenna fought the charr along the Ascalon's army, while travelling through all the ruins of her kingdom searching a way to bring her family back to life. A year later, Grenth assigned her fist task: to get rid of Verata the necromancer, who was abusing his gift of necromancy killing people for his own personal power. The task was not easy, but with the help of Preia, a warrior guide she found on the shiverpeaks, and the cursed krytan girl named Medea, she managed to get rid of him.

Jenna spent the following months travelling through Kryta, still searching for a way to resurrect her family. She tagged along with the young Medea in her journey, to teach her how control the necromantic energies that were devouring her. After reaching the Maguuma jungle, she met with Eclea, a ranger specialized in poisons, and her father Arald The Grey. They guided them through the maze like forest to seek the ancient druids, in hope to find a way to fulfill Jenna's wish. Even the wise druids weren't able to find a solution. The group ventured through the jungle, to an ancient and abandoned Balthazar temple, but their search there was unsuccessful.

Jenna and Medea explored the crystal desert in the following months, seeking the knowledge of an ancient forgotten elder named Siliss Yassith. With the sole knowledge of his name, the two lookend into the arid lands and the ruins of the populations that sought Ascension. Months later they found the old forgotten, but the elder couldn't help too. Jenna was on the shiverpeaks, on her way back to Ascalon when the titans emerged from the lake in Dragon's Gullet. With Preia and Medea's help, she fought with the Ascalonians, opening her way to the center of the lake where the cursed demons came from. There they killed the Titans that were keeping the hidden portal to Tyria opened, sealing them once again. A few weeks later, Preia asked for Jenna's help to defeat a Stone Summit necromancer known as Gordac Fleshweaver. They reached Sorrow's furnace, and got caught in the last stand of the Stone Summit against the Deldrimor Dwarves. Helping Ennis Granitestrider, the two managed to kill the necromancer and to destroy the Iron Forgeman for the dwarves, putting a temporary end to the Civil War in the dwarven regions.

As the titan crysis ended in Tyria, and as the charr stepped away from the Ascalon kingdom after the fall of their false gods, as a token of gratitude from King Adelbern she was allowed to found the "Order of the Black Light" guild, tied to Ascalon. The king allowed the newfound guild to buy a castle in the Island of the Dead, a small Canthan Isle in the Battle Isles Archipelago, and gifted Jenna a copy of the Symon's History Of Ascalon book. With time, many other persons joined the guild. Each with her set of knowledge, each with different intent, but all loyal to the order and to the Ascalon Kingdom.

Some time later, Jenna was in Cantha to continue her research, along with Medea, when the plague spread all over the Dragon Empire. They were visiting a library near Vizunah Square and had to fight their way outside the city to stay alive. They were near the Kurzik borders when an avatar of Grenth appeared to her: an Envoy, the once known as Shiro Tagachi, was abusing his powers and had to be stopped. As the plague spread all over Cantha, the two met with the necromancer Kima and her half sister, the ritualist Iridia. Both were really concerned about the plague in their homeland, and were striving to solve it. When Master Togo and Brother Mhenlo managed to reunite Luxons and Kurziks and gained the help of the Kuunavang, Jenna fought with them, to open a path in the Imperial Palace, where Shiro was finally slain. Before her return in Tyria, Jenna continued her personal quest: she visited the Durheim Archives, explored the jade Sea in search of old Luxons elders, and even gained access to the libraries in Zen Daijun and the Shing Jea Monastery. She dindn't find anyting in those places, but found something about an ancient Orrian Tome in possession of the Am Fah. With the help of Asako, an hired assassin, she managed to obtain a copy of the tome for herself.

Her never ending quest eventually brought her to the Land Of The Golden Sun, Elona. Vabbi was her first stop, for the amount of knowledge stored in the archives of their princes, stored in the Halls of Chockhin. That wasn't the only point of interest of her travel. During a chat with an Elonian Captain docked in the Amnoon Oasis harbor, he told her about the miserious hidden City of Adashim, full of treasures, hidden somewhere in the mountains around the rich reign. At that time, Eclea and her spider pet Nettle were travelling with her, as the ranger was interested in the treasure as well. Unfortunately for them, Grenth's voice gave her a new task. Varesh Ossa was trying to bring back Abaddon, and she had to be stopped. The voice told them to seek for Sarissa, a dervish in Kodash Bazar that was waiting for them. The tree headed straight west, across the Vehjin Canyons to the Basalt Grotto. After a battle against some kournan soldiers, Jenna found something on the body of one of them, a copy of the Scriptures of Abaddon. She secretly kept it for herself.

As the trio reached the desolation, Grenth granted them the power to control junundu worms to cross it. When they arrived at the ruins of Morah, they discovered the dead body of Varesh, and a breach wide open in reality itself. They entered the rift, and in the city inside they met an elementalist historian named Jelena, an Ascalonian mesmer named Astrid, and a paragon sunspear, known as Isira. The tree joined them, and fought with the forgotten armies to stop the demonic hordes in service of Abaddon. After a furious battle in the nightfallen Jahai, they managed to push deeper into the god's realm, reaching the Gate of Secrets. There, they faced some of the most twisted creatures in service of Abaddon. It was there that Jenna discovered an horrible truth: the Searing, the charr's march over Arah and the destruction of Orr, the Jade wind and the Plague in Cantha...countless deaths in her world were caused to have unlimited souls to fill the river in the Domain of Pain. Those souls were then used to restore the power of the fallen god. Abaddon. He was the source of everything. He had to be stopped. Her family had to be avenged. The group joined the sunspears in the final stand against the god himself, and as tyrian history tells, they won.

Right after those events, Jenna and Eclea resumed their search of the hidden city. Even there, Jenna's search was unsuccessful.

Years later, Jenna explored the fartest reaches of Tyria, the lands of the norns and the asurans. Deep in Alcazia Tangle, the necromancer found an ancient book, known as Grimoire Arcanum. Small parts and fragments of the book pointed at a possible solution to restore the souls of her family: only the power of a god in his own realm could do it...

Personality: Jenna isn't a very talkative person. Usually she is calm and rational, and preferes to plan every move. She is a great scholar and even if she knows every magic currently known in necromancy, she never uses death magic. She doesn't want to interfere directly with a dead to do her bidding. She firmly thinks that it would put her at the same level of the fallen god she fought. Jenna is also a fair sword fighter. She uses a sword as a way to remember her father, that teached her using it in childhood.

Medea Lunascura

Creation: May 2005

Favourite Equipment: Woe Spreader.

Background: Since childhood, Medea was gifted with Dwayna's blessing and was capable of using healing magic. She was always cheerful and helpful to the other people of her small village, and grew up to be a monk. One night, a group of strange cultists attacked her village. The sight of the first villagers attacked and killed caused her to go mad and give up to her anger. Somehow, she lost control over her feelings, and started using death magic spells summoning horrors from the bodies of the dead. The cultist were stopped, and ran away as she lost her senses and the horrors died again. As she woke up, she discovered from the surviving villagers that she saved them, but at the cost of the flesh and bodies of their dead friends. As she discovered her dark side, all of the villagers were frightened by her presence, even her own parents. They exiled her from the village, seen as dangerous as the cultist that stormed the village. She was at the Temple of the Ages, crying in front of the statue of Grenth, blaming him for her curse, when she met Jenna and Preia. When she heard of their intention to stop the necromancer Verata and his cultists, Medea explained them her situation, and offerd her help. They finally tracked down the cult in kessex peak, and after an hard battle they managed to get rid of Verata and his foolish cultists. During the battle Medea lost control again, and for that reason Jenna offered her knowledge in necromancy to the young monk, to help her control her power. And so Medea followed the necromancer in her travels, as an apprentice.

The two reached the Maguuma jungle and met with two expert rangers, Eclea and her father Arald The Grey. Jenna was looking for the druids that lived there, to se if their knowledge was able to resurrect her parents, but the druids weren't able to do anything. Jenna's travels continued to the farthest reaches of the Crystal Desert without success.

They were in the shiverpeaks, headed for Ascalon, when the titan crysis began. There they met with Preia, and moved forward to Ascalon. Helping the ascalonians, they managed to defeat the titans after an epic battle in Dragon's Gullet. For their help, King Adelbern allowed them to found the Order of the Black Light Guild, in a castle on the Island Of the Dead.

Medea was with Jenna in Cantha when the plague brought by Shiro Tagachi started. The two escaped from Kaineng City and managed to reach the kurzik borders. They were in Tanglewood Copse when they met the Kima and her half sister Iridia. As they mentioned their concern about the plague, Jenna offered her help, as Grenth told her to stop Shiro at all costs. She was with the people that fought in the imperial palace to allow Master Togo and Brother Mhenlo to reach Shiro. After those events, Kima learned about Medea's curse and found a partial solution to it: being an expert in both necromancy and the ways of the monks, Kima noticed that negative energies in Medea were too much for her body. That excess could be kept at bay if Medea was "keeping it busy" constantly. Kima teached her how to create a Flesh Golem and from that day on, Medea can never be seen without a golem around her.

As her problem found a solution, Medea gained more freedom for herself, and abandoned Jenna's side. As her friend continued her quest in the lands of Elona, the young monk remained at the newfound guildhall, solving administrative tasks in Jenna's absence.

Years later Medea was in Shing Jea monastery, studying and meditating with Kima to improve her control over her negative energies, and was enjoying the celebration of the Dragon Festival when the island of shing jea was overrun by demons. As they fought, the two discovered the origin of the creatures: demonic portals from the mists were opened in Haiju Lagoon and the demons were using it to enter Tyria, in a way that reminded Medea of the titan crysis. They found Iridia in Zen Daijun, and with her help and that of the canthan army, they successfully closed the rifts.

It was only after the return of Jenna from Elona that she discovered that the demons were in service of Abaddon, invading reality to bring souls to their twisted master.

Personality: Medea is a cheerful and kind girl. She isn't shy at all, and tries to get along well with every person she meets. She is very helpful with her friends and tries to never let them down. Secretly, she suffers for the impossibility to return to her hometown. As her control over necromancy is increased, Medea has learned to combine it fairly well with her smiting and healing powers.

[edit] Image:Warrior-icon.pngImage:Necromancer-icon-small.png Preia Di Cimefredde (Preia From Shiverpeaks)

Preia Di Cimefredde

Creation: September 2005

Favourite Equipment: Furious Fellblade Of Defense and a Grim Cesta.

Background:Preia was an orphan. Two dwarves found her in front of her house on a cold winter's morning. A little human baby left in front of a dwarven house. Deep inside the Shiverpeaks.

Preia grew up with dwarven traditions in her heart, and the two dwarves were incredibly happy of their very tall, even for human standards, doughter. She became an able hunter, and the shiverpeaks were her domain. Her father was a deldrimor warrior, with steel in his soul, and teached every fighting technique he knew. Her mother was a respected necromancer in her village, and Preia learned some tricks from her during the long cold winters closed in their house.

She knew she was not a dwarf, but she was accepted by the dwarves of the village as one. Not by all of them, anyway. Hate and envy are things that grow hidden from the eyes. One day, an herald of a newfound dwarven guild, the Stone Summit, came to the village, proclaming the need for the dwarves to stand over all the inferior races, that their only use was as slaves, firmly affirming that the only sentient race on the shiverpeaks had to be dwarves. No one seemed to care about his words that day, but something changed when Prince Rurik from Ascalon entered the shiverpeaks along with his people, one year later. Many dwarves adhered to the Stone Summit, and the passage of the Prince and the refugees was seen as an invasion, a blatant excuse to go against Deldrimor and start a Civil War.

During the first day of the conflict, the deldrimor dwarves were caught unprepared. Preia's village was one of the first to be assaulted by the xenophopic dwarves, probably because of Preia's presence. She was hunting with her old father when that happened. All they could do was bury the dead. Preia swore to avenge her mother. No dwarf of the stone summit in her path will be spared. She took her father's Fellblade, and started her hunt. After some time spent investigating, Preia discovered that her village was assaulted by a group led by the same herald that came spitting poison one year before: Gordac Fleshweaver.

Not only that, but she found that the dwarf was cooperating with a twisted human known as Verata. Apparently her village was attacked to test some new kinds of minions. Verata was allowed to test his skills, while Gordak could learn them as well.

She tracked the two, but lost their tracks around Yak's Bend. It was there that she met with Jenna, a necromancer that was searching for Verata too. The two tracked him through the shiverpeaks, and to Kryta, to the Temple Of Ages. There they met a strange girl, who said to be a cursed monk. Medea was her name. Medea was after Verata too, so they proceeded togeter to Kessex Peak. The necromancer gathered there many cultist, maybe for some kind of strange ritual. After an hard battle against crazy fanatics and countless undead minions, Verata was killed and his cult of followers disbanded.

As Jenna and Medea left, Preia returned to her homeland, fighting in the civil war. She was fighting with a group of Deldrimor soldiers some Stone Summit dwarves, north of the Granite Citadel when some frozen titans emerged from the ground, killing everything in their path, without distinction. With their path cutted out, Preia and the soldiers retreated East, hoping to find shelter in the caves after the Mineral Springs. There they found an eccentric mesmer, and a really bored Geomancer. Astrid and Jelena apparently were there seeking for an ancient sword that supposedly had the blade made of freezing fire. Now they were just trapped there. The Geomancer was apparently well aware about the Titans and their powers. She informed the soldiers of the presence of a Titan General very close. If they managed to kill the demon, the others will take a step back in their advance.

Attempting a desperate assault, the group charged outside the cave, and managed to break the firstline of titans and to kill the Titan Lord. The titans retreated north, and the survivors could return to the citadel. Preia didn't stop, understanding the danger those creatures could be, not only for Deldrimor, but for the whole world of Tyria. Pursuing the creatures north, oustide signed paths, the warrior eventually met Jenna and Medea again. The two were headed to Ascalon when the titans emerged. Joining them, Preia fought in the last stand against the titans in Dragon's Gullet, winning. Preia joined the Order of the Black Light, feeling honored, and helped Jenna and Medea in the foundation of the guild.

Less than a month later, as the stone summit pulled back into Sorrow's Furnace, Preia learned about Gordac: he was among those in the Furnace. Asking for Jenna's help, Preia headed to the Deldrimor Warcamp. They jonied foces with Ennis Granitestrider, and fought their way to the heart of the Furnace. After an harsh battle, they managed to destroy the Iron Forgeman, and to kill the infamous dwarf.

Preia kept travelling through the Shiverpeaks, pursuing the remaining Stone Summit dwarves, wherever they were hidden. She was in Droknar's forge when heard about many strange events happening in the Tombs of the Primeval Kings. Apparently, the portal to the mist that led to the Hall of Heroes became corrupted, and the Zaishen order and some of the Sunspears from Elona came to contain the demons and the corruption there. With the ghosts of the Titan crysis in her mind, Preia went to the tombs, and helped the Zaishens against the demons. Many died in the battle in the Mists, but in the end the dark powers that invaded the Halls were defeated.

Recently Preia returned on the footsteps of the Stone Summit. The evil dwarves were seen in the fartest parts of the Northern Shiverpeaks, and rumors about the coming of the Great Destroyer came to her ears.

To be Continued

Personality:Preia is a tough, self centered warrior. She's a direct and honest person that always says what she thinks. Loyal to the bone and strong as a bear, just like a "real" dwarf. Her strength and size come from a side effect of excessive use of the spell Demonic Flesh during her childhood. She used it to gain the same resistance of her dwarven friends during ordinary tavern brawls. Now, she's over two meters tall and can wield her Fellblade with a single hand in combat without a blink. She is very proud of her intimidating height and power, and often refers jokingly to others as "little ones". She is a brave and a fierce fighter, but sometimes can be a little reckless. She has a deep hatred for the Stone Summit for what they represent to her.

Eclea Arbra
Ortica (Nettle)

Creation: November 2005

Favourite Equipment: Poisonous Recurve Bow Of Fortitude.

Background: Finding new herbs and elaborate new poisons, exploration of uncharted territories, and the thrill of a treasure hunt are Eclea's life. She grew up in the dangerous Maguuma Jungle along with her Father, Arald the Grey. She is a ranger, and an espert herbalist, specialized in poisons. No one knows exactly when, and where she found her pet, the black spider known as Nettle. Their bond is strong, the common form of symbiosis that Melandru grants to many rangers. She and her father always tried to stay away from politics and the common problems inside Kryta, and they never really cared about what was happening with the raise of the White Mantle in their region, and the birth of the Shining Blade. At the time, she used to work as a guide for everyone who paid her enough. One day, a necromancer and a monk showed up in Druid's Overlook. The two hired her and her father, with the task of finding the spirits of the druids that lived in the Jungle. That wasn't very hard, and in a week in the jungle the managed to find the Druids. The ancient spirits weren't able to fulfill the request of the necromancer. Jenna and Medea, anyway, paied them again, to search for a forgotten balthazar temple deep inside the jungle. She never found a temple in her exploration, so the excitement for that travel was great. Almost a month later, the group found the temple. Jenna dindn't find what she was searching for, but thanked them and left with Medea.

She was just returned home when some soldiers of the White Mantle hired her again. She had to track down some rebels of the Shining Blade. The rebels were escaping after kidnapping some of the current chosen. She was paid in advance so she didn't refuse the task. Along with a small group of Knight of the White Mantle, they managed to reach the chosen, and the shining blade. Without a battle, Evennia explaned to the group that the Shining Blade was actually saving the chosen from the White Mantle. As the group of knights trusted her words and shifted with the Shining Blade, Eclea decided to side with them as well, to understand the real motivations behind her hiring. As she discovered later, deep in the Jungle, the White Mantle was sacrificing the chosen on one of the Bloodstones, deep in the heart of Maguuma Jungle. She was among the explorers that found the path to the Bloodstones, but wasn't in the group that killed Hablion. As Markis, the traitor of the Shining Blade, was helping the Mantle in finding and destroying every refuge of the Shining Blade, Eclea was forced to step back and retreat. Even after the discovery of the Henge of Denravi, Eclea was still in the jungle, chased by the Mantle. She was with the members of the Shining Blade that retreated into the Shiverpeaks when the Unseen showed themselves, and among those who fought the Titans back in the Henge of Denravi when the titan Crysis began.

As the White Mantle lost his grip over Kryta and the conflict with the Shining Blade changed in an "ordinary" political battle without the shadow of the Muursat, Eclea left, and resumed her old life.
