[edit] Currently Hated Elite Skills

RitualistTranquil Was Tanasen - YES now i can't interupted oh wait it's worn off time to cast it again *chchk* oh shi
RitualistPreservation - please mr elite spirit randomly select me in your tiny area of effect and heal me the equivalent of orison of healing
RitualistSpirit Channeling - only sissies use Attuned Was Songkai instead of dealing 100 damage to themselves to ever so slowly gain 16 energy every 30 seconds
RangerHeal as One - almost as good as orison of healing, but it's elite!
RangerArcher's Signet - hey i have 16 expertise AND i can make my next 5 attacks cost 0 energy instead of 2 each! every 45 seconds!
RangerLacerate - wow an extra two conditional degen that can be applied to my own party too. thanks mr elite skill.
RangerGreater Conflagration - i can think of like a million uses for this right now. can you?
RangerQuick Shot - like called shot, only better! (read: worse)
MonkBoon Signet - hey thirty health healed and the small possibility of 5 energy!
MonkRay of Judgment - who wouldn't want to deal 100 damage every 32 seconds for 15 energy every time! with an elite skill!
MonkUnyielding Aura - if you liked vengeance, you'll love maintaining an elite enchantment to have the same effect!
MonkShield of Deflection - why use guardian when you can use an exact copy of it that is 10 energy and is elite?
NecromancerWeaken Knees - because occassional knockdowns are just that powerful
NecromancerPlague Signet - take that assassin! now you have conditions on you HAHAHA why am i dead
Warrior"Coward!" - those pesky runners have to be stopped somehow, and why not use up your elite slot with a skill you can only use occassionally?
WarriorSkull Crack - no better way to interupt your target!
MesmerShared Burden - well, it's either this or any water magic spell, and this one is shinier!
ElementalistRide the Lightning - what kind of elementalist wouldn't want to be standing right beside their target after dealing less damage than every other lightning skill of the same cost?
ElementalistShatterstone - who says water magic can't deal damage? only 15 energy and 5 seconds later, your target could suffer as much as 100 cold damage!
ElementalistSecond Wind - nice try arenanet, trying to confuse me with your weird skill descriptions. i still know this skill is worthless.
ElementalistFireba - er Star Burst - wait is it fireball? only it's elite. and a touch skill. and it recharges slower. did i mention it's like fireball?
AssassinSeeping Wound - hey, i've always wanted 3 extra degen that can be removed as easily as removing a condition!
AssassinShroud of Silence - why use blackout? now i can use a skill that only disables spells, is an easily removable hex, recharges far slower, and is elite

[edit] Currently Liked and Underrated Elite Skills

WarriorBattle Rage - i sure do like using an adrenal attack with every hit
WarriorBull's Charge - most monks won't understand why they keep getting knocked down and will accuse you of hacking until you block them - trust me.
WarriorDwarven Battle Stance - fun to use on someone with Psychic Instability on them, or on warriors to prevent them from ever hitting with an attack
WarriorFlourish - use 4 energy cost attack skills, use flourish, repeat.
RangerEquinox - team it up with Arcane Languor
MonkWord of Censure - that damage is nothing to sneeze at if you can manage your energy
NecromancerDiscord - stop sneezing at this damage, i tell you!
NecromancerWail of Doom - best melee shutdown skill as far as i can see
MesmerPanic - hitting two people at once with is is fun
ElementalistGlimmering Mark - i only smile when so called "Blind Bots" have never heard of this skill
ElementalistWard Against Harm - remember me making fun of greater conflagration up there? this skill makes it good.
AssassinAssassin's Promise - yes, i will take 20 energy and have all my skills recharged when your pet dies, thank you
AssassinPalm Strike - what have i told you about sneezing? also, this skill is great for Blinding Powder
AssassinLocust's Fury - stick a brutal weapon on there and you have something pretty cool
AssassinShadow Shroud - monks will not understand why they can't heal their friend and will accuse you of hacking until you block them - trust me
RitualistSoul Twisting - nothing like always having a spirit of union or shelter up.

[edit] Terrible Non-Elite Skills Which Are Worthless

ElementalistSwirling Aura - i remember when it had a 75% chance to block both arrows and magical projectiles, and no one wanted to use it THEN either

[edit] Builds

Occasionally I come up with ideas for builds that are so awesome/retarded I need to write them down to prove to people that yes, I am insane

[edit] Sucway

Pronounced as SUCK-WAY
This build is designed to strike fear into the hearts of foes with the sight of eight warrior/monks rushing towards them. It uses the ultimate skills Succor, Mending, and Watchful Spirit to live long enough to be defeated.

[edit] Equipment

  • Each Sucway warrior wears Sentinel's Armor, except for one piece of Ascalon or Knight's Armor providing absorption.
  • Each uses a Furious PVP Axe of Fortitude, which gives +15% damage when in a stance, for one weapon set
  • For the other set, each uses focus items, or axes with +5 energy, whichever gives more energy based on their attribute. This is used for the initial casting of enchantments.

[edit] Usage

The actual using of this build is extremely simple. Simply mass attack a target. What is not simple is in exactly which order the enchantments should be cast, so this will be detailed below.

First, each succor warrior casts succor on another succor warrior, and then on a mending warrior. Meanwhile, the mending warriors each cast mending on one succor warrior and on themselves (making sure that they have succor active on them before casting mending). Finally, every warrior casts watchful spirit on himself, covering the other two enchantments.

When the dust settles, every warrior has +6 health regeneration and 0 energy regeneration. Don't worry, you won't be needing any more energy.

[edit] Counters

  • Anything that removes enchantments (Nature's Renewal is pretty much an instant win)
  • Anything that slows the warriors down, like Deep Freeze
  • Anything that stops the warriors from hitting, like Blind
