Warrior / Any Level 20 - Female - Tyrian - Over 12 months old

• Started as a Warrior Necromancer.
• First to Ascend.
  • Defeated the doppleganger without changing my current build in under 8 seconds. It was over before I knew what had happened.
  • The crucial skills: Order of the Vampire + Frenzy.
• Current Primary Quests/Missions: Hell's Precipice and Vizunah Square
• Character Concept: Began as a W/N before I knew GW's skills with the concept of a life-stealing melee character.
  • Name just randomly sprung to mind.
  • Athenia is obviously a derivation from Athena.
  • Deucito is indicative of some sort of divine quality.

Monk / Any Level 20 - Male - Tyrian

• Started as a Monk Mesmer.
• Second to Ascend. First to double-Ascend.
  • Only had AL 30 at the time because I was poor.
  • Used Healing Breeze, Retribution and a lot of arrow dodging.
  • Managed to simultaneously beat and lose to the doppleganger. Interestingly, this results in the XP gain, but does not complete the quest.
• Current Primary Quests/Missions: Final Blow, Stolen Eggs, and Into the Whirlpool
• Character Concept: Began as a Mo/Me after I had ascended with Athenia Deucito because I wanted a Monk, I knew it would be the easiest character to run through the game, and Mesmer is an excellent secondary, especially for Monk.
  • Christopher is a reference to my religion, which I thought would be appropriate for his profession.
  • Racnive is a former nickname - orignally derived from the reversing of Evincar from MTG.

Ranger / Any Level 20 - Male - Tyrian - Over 12 months old

• Started as a Ranger Mesmer.
• Third to Ascend. Second to double-Ascend.
  • Used Empathy and Storm Chaser, and dodged arrows. Won in almost exactly 50 seconds.
• Current Primary Quests/Missions: The Dragon's Lair, Ring of Fire, Stolen Eggs and The Defenders of the Forest
• Character Concept: Began as a R/Me - what I thought would best represent his namesakes: very tough, able to survive the most adverse of situations, yet clever, charismatic, and manipulative.
  • It is my most common online nickname.
  • Ender originates from Ender's Game, my favorite fiction book.
  • Alacran originates from The House of the Scorpion, a similar fiction book that I enjoyed. It's actually supposed to be Alacrán, but GW doesn't allow accented characters.

Assassin / Any Level 20 - Female - Canthan

• Started as an Assassin Mesmer.
• Fifth to Ascend (Achieve Weh no Su).
• Current Primary Quests/Missions: D'Alessio Seaboard, The Defenders of the Forest, and Raisu Palace
• Character Concept: Began as an A/Me because I wanted an Assassin. Mesmer was chosen simply because it's an excellent secondary profession - extremely flexible.
  • Keishin means "wise truth, wise mind, wise command, growing wisdom" in Japanese. (Found it at a baby name site.)
  • Dilu means "truly dark" in Chinese and was randomly found at Wikipedia's old explanation of personal names. This is representative of her stealth.

Mesmer / Any Level 20 - Male - Canthan

• Started as a Mesmer Ritualist.
• Fourth to Ascend (Achieve Weh no Su).
• Current Primary Quests/Missions: Stolen Eggs, The Eternal Grove, and Sanctum Cay
• Character Concept: Wanted a primary Mesmer, and a Ritualist of some kind. This was a mesh of the two, and it best fit my image of my dreamed up character "Electrostorm." However, the name "Artemis Electrostorm" wouldn't fit. So, I created a Latin name using a helpful latin translation site.
  • Carus means "dear, beloved; costly, high-priced, expensive."
  • Excolo means "to honor (a deity), polish, adorn, refine, serve."
  • Beatus means "blessed, fortunate, sometimes 'saint'."
  • I chose them because they somewhat represent my (real) full name, roughly translated to Latin.

Elementalist / Monk Deleted - Male - Tyrian - Over 12 months old

• Started as an Elementalist Monk.
• Deleted to make room for Christopher Racnive, Keishin Dilu, and Carus Excolo Beatus the day he received his Birthday Present, and hours before I bought Factions. Okay, so I'm mean.
• Had just barely reached the Northern Shiverpeaks.
• Character Concept: Wanted a spellcaster, and wanted to have all the professions using only three slots. These were the two remaining. (The other two characters were Ender Alacran and Athenia Deucito.)
  • Artemis is from the character Artemis Fowl, from another enjoyed fiction book.
  • Regalo randomly popped into my mind, and is derived from the word "regal".

Any / Any PvP Only Character - Female

• My recurring PvP Character.
• Character Concept: First name I could come up with, I think I was in a rush. This was also before I had created Christopher Racnive.
  • Racnive is a former nickname - as noted above in Christopher Racnive's description.
  • Guthran randomly popped into my mind, and seemed to fit the first name "Racnive."
• Name subject to change.

In my opinion, Guild Wars is strategically similar to MTG (Magic: The Gathering.) I enjoy the complex strategies that evolve from it, but especially the teamwork required in Guild Wars.
