Durga is the daughter of King Vishnoo and Queen Sheeva and is the heiress of the kingdom of Naka'Da Which lies to the east of Ascalon.As a heiress in search of purpose, she found her way to Ascalon City on one of her expeditions to the west.Having found a new kingdom she decided to stay there for some time to learn about this new kingdom and to try to make friends and allies for her kingdom to trade with.

As revealed in the Dragon's Lair to her by the ancient dragon Glint, she is one of the Chosen ones, forseen to save Tyria.

Because her own kingdom does not have any enemies, she decided to go in search of one that needed her help. Having found Ascalon and seeing how much pain the charr were causing to the people of Ascalon, she knew that she had found the place she was looking for. Xenex was born in Serenity Temple, son to Jeru one of the few advisors to king Adelbern. His mother Vera a Priestess to Dwyana has a high respect among followers of Dwyana. In his young years Xenex was one to always be up to mischief, one could mostly find Xenex causing trouble everywhere he went.At age fifteen his father sent him to Warmaster Tydus's military academy to learn discipline and to learn to care for others.Xenex mostly rebeled against being there, but found that that he enjoy battling against other people.On the day of his graduating from the academy he meet Prince Rurik.After Prince Rurik was banished by King Adelbern, Xenex's father told him that he should go with Rurik and make sure he is safe.
