User:Delia Rashesh/Feature Requests
From GuildWiki
These are some features I'd like to see in Guild Wars. They are organized by "size."
Contents |
[edit] Large
These requests consist of new features that would alter the gameplay.
[edit] Stores
Add a "store broker" that sells stores to players and/or guilds. Players can post an item for sale at the store and specify the selling price. Other players can talk to a store broker to search for an item to buy, specifying various criteria, such as base type, weapon/shield mods, etc. Some percent of the sale price could go to the broker as a gold sink.
[edit] Small
These requests consist of mainly front-end things that would make the client more usable, and would not add new gameplay elements, just make them more easily accessible.
[edit] Minion selection
Currently to select a minion one must point at the general location of the minion and wait for the text tag to appear, and click on it. Holding down ALT or CTRL does not display the minion tags. This makes selecting a specific minion during a battle challenging. There are several possible solutions to this problem, which could be taken in combination:
- Make ALT display minion tags in addition to other allies, objects, and players.
- Add keyboard shortcuts for "Next minion" and "Previous minion" to allow quick cycling through minions. This should only activate minions controlled by the player.
- Display a list of minions at the bottom of the party window or in another window altogether, displaying only minions controlled by the player, so as to not clutter the list for other players.
[edit] Clear quest
Sometimes it's helpful to not have any quest selected, as the green star can direct you somewhere that you aren't going. The instict developed while playing the game is to follow the mark no matter what.
It would be helpful to see an item added to the quest log, "(No quest)" or similar, or some button that would deselect all quests and thereby hide the star.
- This can be worked around by selecting a quest that the player cannot reach by continuous walking, such as a quest on the Ring of Fire Islands or the Crystal Desert while on the main Tyrian continent, or a quest on a completely different map, such as a quest in Cantha while in Tyria. However, if no such quest is available this obviously cannot be done.
[edit] Build slots
We already have the ability to have four preset weapons and offhands stored to easily switch between. I'd like to see this extended to:
- Weapon and offhand.
- Armor.
- Skills.
- Attribute point distribution.
This would allow characters to have up to four builds that can be switched between quickly. Because of the skills and attribute points, this option would only be available in an outpost.
- This feature has been partially added. Weapon, offhand, and armor are not included, and the builds are stored on the client.
