[edit] Background

I started playing Guild Wars sometime back in late 2005. My first character was Master Delgadude, and I quickly joined a guild that my friend was in. They were very helpful and I had a lot of fun playing, so I kept playing. Once factions came out, I didn't buy it immediately, but almost everyone in my guild did. They were all trying to beat it really fast and nobody wanted to help me in Prophecies. They joined the [TC] alliance and we owned Cavalon for several days, becoming a popular guild. We lost Cavalon a few days later. At around May 2006 I finally bought Factions, making I'm Da Best Assassin. I thought it would be a cool name but you have no clue how many people Pm'd me saying "I'm better than you!". Factions was actually more fun than Prophecies, and I made 3 really good characters from that campaign. I decided to quit my guild because my friend quit playing and there was really no reason to stay in the guild. Once I heard that Nightfall was coming out, I wanted to pre-order it immediately, which I did. I started playing Nightfall but then I started getting bored so I decided to quit playing Guild Wars. I played other games like Halo but I got really bored again and went back to Guild Wars. One of the funniest things was that when I left Guild Wars, Ghial's Staff was worth about 60k, but when I came back it had lowered to 10-15k. Nowadays I either green farm or work on getting my characters farther in the campaigns.

[edit] Characters (in order of creation):

My very first character. He went through Ascalon very slowly, enjoying it while I learned how to play. I went all the way through the campaign and did every mission, not skipping any by being run. I got to Thunderhead Keep but then that took me a while to beat. After beating it, I wasn't in a good mood for beating another mission, so I stopped playing this character for a while, working on my other characters. When I decided to try the Ring of Fire missions, I beat all 3 on my first try :) . Now I'm getting him through Factions and after that Nightfall, to unlock new skills for new builds.

  • Assassin/Ranger Im Da Best Assassin --Factions-- Level 20
My first Factions character. He was pretty good, but since every single Assassin tried to tank in Factions nobody wanted one in their group. However, this didn't stop me from going pretty far. Once I got to the Jade Sea area I switched to a Barrage/Interrupt build. It's main purpose was to faction farm but I liked it a lot more and so did everyone else I ever teamed with. I did beat Factions and it was the first campaign I ever beat. Now I'm still deciding what to do with him.

  • Necromancer/Monk I Eat Burning Heads --Factions-- Level 20
I saw that Animate Flesh Golem was very popular in Alliance Battles, which I love, so I wanted to cap the skill to make a really good Minion Master build. What I didn't know was how far in the game it actually was. So I got this Necromancer all the way to Senji's Corner and capped it. By then I actually had a pretty decent PvE Minion Master. Since the ability to switch professions on the fly was created, all the Minion Masters had doubled as Spiteful Spirit Necromancers so I got all the skills for that too, although I haven't really used it much and I'd rather use my 55 monk for The Underworld instead.

Location (Factions): Senji's Corner

When I heard everyone saying "I got so much money from my 55 it isn't even funny!", I had to make one. So I made it in the Factions campaign and zoomed past Shing Jea and by the time I was able to travel to Tyria I was still level 12. But power leveling myself in Drok's made me level 20 in no time. I tried The Underworld for a while, and I got some cash, but it was pretty boring. Now that they nerfed the drop rate and also nerfed Shield of Judgement to scatter the foes, It's not such a good build anymore. I still do UW with him sometimes but not as often.

My first (and currently only) Nightfall Character. Since I pre-ordered Nightfall, I got the Collector's Edition items, which included a Soulbreaker with really good stats for a Dervish, similar to those of Dwayna's Grace. I'm still working through the Nightfall campaign with him, but I do farm a lot, because there are very good drops in Nightfall. I've probably capped the most elite skills with him than any of my other characters. While farming in Dejarin Estate, I received 6 greens in only 2 days worth of farming (results may vary, I was extremely lucky). Two of which were Dwayna's Grace (worth about 45k), which is more money than I ever had before. This character's future is to be continued.

Location (Nightfall): Late Vabbi

  • I still have 4 other slots. One is my experimental PvE slot. I make a new PvE character and see how it goes and after about 2-3 days I get bored and delete it. It actually does work sometimes though because I Eat Burning Heads and Monked Down both became lvl 20s because I liked them and stuck to them. The other 3 slots are for PvP characters.
