[edit] Me

I play alot of Guild Wars and I use this Wiki alot, I'd like to "repay" some of that knowledge debt by helping out where possible (eg. adding relevant info when I find it).

[edit] Wintersday Gifts

Item Total Title Points Chance
2 Eggnogs 2 Drunk minutes 15%
2 Fruitcakes 2 Sweet Tooth 15%
2 Snowman Summoners 2 Party Animal 15%
2 Spiked Eggnogs 6 Drunk minutes 10%
2 Wintergreen Candy Canes 2 Sweet Tooth 10%
1 Rainbow Candy Cane 1 Sweet Tooth 10%
1 Peppermint Candy Cane 2 Sweet Tooth 10%
1 Yuletide Tonic 2 Party Animal 10%
10 Candy Cane Shards n/a 5%

Expected points per title per gift.

Iterations Allowed Drunk Sweet Party
1 0.9 0.8 0.5
2 0.99 0.88 0.55
3 0.999 0.888 0.555
4 0.9999 0.8888 0.5555
n 9/9 8/9 5/9

The values in row 'n' are assumed from allowing the iterations to tend to infinity. The expected points per title per Gift then tend to those fractions. Each original Gift grants an average of 1.05556 items (or more accurately 95/90). What their actual market value is I know not.

Example: 1,000 gifts would be expected to give 1,000 Drunk minutes, 889 Sweet Tooth points and 556 Party Animal points - worth roughly 290 platinum, all depending on current market value of the various items of course. This is of course all using just expected values; for any actual application of these values one must remember that there is the variance to consider.
