[edit] Ranger/Ritualist - Tranquil Trapping

  • Using Tranquil Was Tanasen along with the trapping abilities of a Ranger, this build is effecting in places such as Fort Aspenwood, or could be used in any mission where a bottleneck could occur, allowing traps to slowly kill off enemies.

[edit] Equipment

  • Superior Wilderness Survival, Minor Expertise, highest Vigor Rune, and two Atunement Runes. Minor Beast Mastery is optional to let EW last longer. All armor pieces should have Radiant Insignias for energy, or full Druids works as well.
  • An Insightful Restoration Staff of Fortitude with a +5 Energy over 50% HP Inscription.
  • A Ritualist Wand with +5 Energy over 50% HP, and an offhand with +30 HP and +1 to Restoration
  • A Ritualist Wand and Offhand both with +15/-1 Inscriptions.

[edit] Usage

  • Place the EW Spirit somewhere near where you are going to lay down your traps. Put it close enough so that you are affected, but far enough that it won't be targeted.
  • Cast Tranquil Was Tanasen followed by Trapper's Speed.
  • Lay down your traps where necessary. If in Fort Aspenwood, lay them near Resurrection Shrines or near Gates.
  • Use Healing Spring as a self heal, or to heal allies in battle. Try to lay it down while still holding the ashes.

[edit] Counters

  • Energy denial while holding the ashes. Not putting down EW can also cause you to loose energy quickly.
  • Interruption while not holding the ashes.
  • High damage attacks.
  • Condition Removal
  • People avoiding/not setting off traps in time.

[edit] Notes

  • This build is still undergoing TESTING. Any additional testing would be appreciated. See the Talk Page to discuss.
  • This build is not designed for dealing a significant amount of damage. Since it was primarily designed with Competitive Missions in mind, it was designed to disrupt enemies, as well as snare tightly-knit groups for other allies to deal with.
  • This build is part of Defiant Element's unused Elite contest.
