Character A child who spent most of her life at Shing Jea Monastery. Her parents were simple farmers; both passed on early. Distant relatives took Akri in, but they got frightened of her abilities and soon gave her to the Monastery. A devotee of Grenth. Meticulous, introspective, sometimes absent-minded. Character Only child of a rich merchant family of Seitung Harbor. Has considerable talent in both the arcane as well as trade. Places his faith more on wealth than religion. Practical, possessive, and somewhat self-centered. Titles Cantha Protector Track (2 missions) Canthan Exploration Track (27.9%) Aspirations Factions campaign Protector of Cantha All Factions quests Vabbian, Ancient, 15k Kurzick, 15k Hydromancer's, 15k Pyromancer's, Canthan Notes The sixth character created. The source of his name is actually from one of the heroes of the Water Margin (one of many classical epics of Chinese literature), Wu Yong (yea, I know, I spelled it differently). Took me awhile too. Despite always having problems with male names, I figure I'd better maintain at least one male character (since I deleted the other two). D&D m human Wu Jen20 CN I dug through some chinese literature to recall a name that I like and also suitable for an arcane spellcaster. I didn't really have any male oriental spellcaster character. Ever since I deleted Gaenn (see below), I've always thought I'd try out another melee character. It's okay so far, with the heavy reliance on enchantments making this class rather interesting. I got bored with a melee character again... D&D m human Ftr10/Weapon Master10 N I don't have an equivalent D&D character for him. He's brand new, in a sense. A Dervish prestige class in D&D is really quite different. Alternative races: half-orc or aasimar. High strength, good dexterity and intelligence.

Quiet and detached, but observant and perceptive. I actually restarted Galen because he died (at the hands of a Preying Lance when I was not paying attention. At least I learned that it's a bad idea to play with a character going for the Survivor title when you're suffering from sleep deprivation. And I lost the darned Survivor title. Sigh. Disappointing really... especially because I got killed because of ... <drum rolls> ... wait for it ... because of ... lag. Argh!!! Any chance of an amnesty of 1 death from Anet? D&D m half-sun elf Rgr20 NG I finally created him. My very first D&D character of my favorite class: a ranger. And no, despite similarities, he's not inspired by Drizzt Do'Urden. Alternative races: half-drow or human. Alternative classes: Ftr4/Rgr16 High dexterity, good wisdom and charisma.

Character A street urchin who learned to survive in the brutal slums of Kaineng City. Does not trust the Gods. Fate is what one makes. A feared killer, a reputation well-earned. Calculating, wary, and cunning. Titles Cantha Protector Track (2 missions) Canthan Exploration Track (18.6%) Elonian Exploration Track (2.9%) Sunspear Captain (863 points) Aspirations 15k Luxon, Vabbian, Kurzick, Shing Jea Notes This was my fourth and ninth character. I find assassins a little hard to play. I even tried to get Survivor before leaving Shing Jea Island and Angel got reincarnated a few times. He was level 8 when I deleted him for the last time. The name doesn't suit Factions at all, not even the Kurzicks, but I can't help it. Love the name and the D&D character it was for. I kinda predicted I'll recreate Angel again when I deleted him and so I did. It was either an Assassin or a Warrior; guess who won. D&D m tiefling Rog5/Ftr4/Asn10 The name comes from my 2nd favourite D&D character, a tiefling assassin. Alternative race: human. Alternative classes: Rog19, Ftr4/Rog15, Rog10/Rgr9

Character Mira and her family left their Kournan home to escape the increasingly oppressive rule of Varesh Ossa. In Kamadan, Mira was enchanted with the vision and goals of the Sunspears, and promptly became one. Titles Elona Protector Track (5 missions) Tyrian Exploration Track (0.6%) Canthan Exploration Track (8.1%) Elonian Exploration Track (26.5%) Sunspear General (3,146 points) Survivor (381,993 XP to next) Aspirations Primeval, Obsidian, 15k Sunspear, Elonian, Sunspear Notes Tenth character to be created. My paragon could have been male... but I just couldn't get around the uh... skirt the male paragons wear. I think I really like the white theme of their armor. D&D f aasimar Psi19 An aasimar psion with a history intricately linked with that of Angel Netherborn. Alternative race: moon elf or drow. Alternative classes: Sor19 It was either her or my githyanki hexblade. I figure a psion is a better match for a Paragon. The best is actually a marshall, but my marshall character is a male.

• Locales
  • The Ring of Fire Islands and the Shiverpeak Mountains. Simply breathtaking.
  • The Echovald Forest feels so mysterious and enigmatic. But the Jade Sea areas, although quite creative in certain places, was a bit too expansive and kinda dull.
  • Vabbi was brilliant i its emphasis on opulence and extravagance. The Desolation nicely projects a sense of despair.
• Characters
  • The females! Most especially Saidra, Devona, Eve, Kehanni, Jamei, and Cynn; in that order. Maybe Evennia, Nika, and Herta too.
  • Mhenlo, how did you, supposedly a Monk, be able to attract so many females?!
  • Devona, Aidan, Mhenlo, Eve, and Cynn were very nicely fleshed out for the first two campaigns. When Nightfall came out, glaring inconsistencies was an indication that the development teams had miscommunication; really disappointing for me:
    • Aidan's parents were murdered by Charr instead of where his mother died giving birth to him while crossing the Shiverpeaks to Ascalon. (Update: Apparently, they changed "parents" to "father" as of mid-August 2007 ^-^)
    • Aidan took on a darker, more vengeful personality instead of the original level-headed and wise persona.
    • There was not a single hint of the relationship that Cynn and Mhenlo had.
    • Mhenlo's Nightfall quotes contradicted themselves. One seems to suggest that Mhenlo came to Elona before Cantha, yet another implying that he saved Cantha before coming to Elona.
    • Devona lost the earlier impression of placing duty and loyalty above all else. Her quotes had a little too much battle lust and wisecracks.
    • Cynn feels... different. She feels wild and reckless rather than merely impulsive and hot-tempered.
    • Eve was the least affected (probably because she wasn't as well fleshed out previously), although her quotes used to have a better abstract feel to them.
    • Mhenlo's official lore on the website regarding his parents is in direct conflict with his Prophecies and Factions dialogue.
• Stuff
  • The best looking armor is definitely the female Mesmer's Ascended Enchanter's Armor. *snicker* *silly grin*
  • Necromancers overall, have the best armor, both male and female.
    • But since Nightfall, I've changed my mind. Some of them remind me of fish and fowl.
  • Female ranger's dance and male necromancer's dance.
• Monsters
  • I think the Afflicted looks really really cool!
  • The Margonites nicely convey that sense of horror and awe.

Things to watch:

• Check Special:Recentchanges.
• Monitor all heroes and henchmen.
• Monitor all towns, outposts, and mission locations.
• Monitor all Category:NPCs by type.

Things to occasionally glance at:

• Reword, expand, and unstub quests.
• Create, clean up, and apply S&F to NPC pages.
• Clear Special:BrokenRedirects, Special:DoubleRedirects, and Special:Disambiguations.
• Check GuildWiki:Misspellings.

Things for the spur of the moment:

• Sad to say that my activities on GuildWiki are now mostly limited to patrolling RC and monitoring those pages that I'm already watching.
