84-175... There are many piles of bleached bones in the desert that do not have Wurms near them. I do not think the two are related. --Karlos 10:26, 11 Sep 2005 (EST)

Yes, in fact I know only of one pile of bleached bones that warns about wurms. But I also have only seen once a wurm devour some other beast in the distance. --Eightyfour-onesevenfive 18:03, 11 Sep 2005 (EST)
I have seen it in Prophet's Path and in the Arid Sea. --Karlos 18:43, 11 Sep 2005 (EST)

March 2 Update?[]

Anyone seen the changes to the wurm behavior after the update? It will be a crowded day in the underworld, if they started burrowing and emerging during a battle where everyone is stationary. --Ishmaeel 18:46, 3 March 2006 (CST)

I am guessing they fixed the pathing issue that caused the Chaos Wurms to sometimes get stuck and stand still and do nothing. That's a pity because it was a real life-saver. :) If you took them to a bridge or tunnel, they often got stuck and couldn't maneuver for some reason. --Karlos 20:05, 3 March 2006 (CST)

Language Oddity[]

Is it worth noting that a wurm is the old German name for a dragon, and still used in that sense in many fantasy stories (as is wyrm)... always found it a bit odd when really GW refers to giant worms, I suppose there's some pretext for it rather than just wanting a fancier sounding word.

It's because there's also a Worm species Powersurge360 Melancholia 03:26, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Wurm Bosses[]

I don't believe it is mentioned, but if a Wurm boss dies while burrowing(perhaps because of degen), you are unable to capture any elites they might have. A bothersome occurance, to say the least. Aethernox 04:29, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
