Re: ward against melee
Edit
Does shock count as a melee attack? My general knowledge of the game would lead me to think not, however this should be tested. --Sami 03:35, 14 August 2006 (CDT)
- Sorry, just read that line totally wrong...it implied to me that it worked against shock, not that the ele was using it. Could just be my brain reading too fast :p --Sami 03:40, 14 August 2006 (CDT)
Ward Against Harm
Edit
It is better than Ward Against Elements if you are investing points in Water Magic. IT gives a universal 20ish armor. The bad part...it is elite . --Life Infusion 14:22, 14 August 2006 (CDT)
- harm protects agaist all damage types, including Physical and "other" types. --Honorable Sarah

- I distaste harm, in order to make it compare with this (In terms of elemental protection) you'll need 15 points into water magic. This is a set value, variable only depending on time. If a warden were to be bringing soley wards, I'd prefer my elite to be something of the energy management sort, and my skill points being thrown into the category with 4 wards and energy storage. I'd want my warden to provide immunity to knockdown, chance of dodging, prevent roughly a quarter of elemental damage, and maybe even slow enemies down nearby. But that's just me. - Earth attunement works just fine for e-management, along with glyph of lesser energy - and Ward against Harm can be used with ward against elements, giving a large armor boost against elemental damage, and a huge armor boost vs fire damage, along with +20 armor vs other damage :) 82.17.103.240 18:20, 15 March 2007 (CDT)

24 armor
Edit
There are a lot of skills that give +24 armor. Is this reducing damage to 75%? Prob. should go under armor talk, but... (proving its me)~~

- I've always wondered about that, I believe it's because +24 armor rounds off perectly as 37.5% damage reduction. All other values near 20 have long decimal places. Other than that I don't see any real reason to use 24 armor. Zulu Inuoe 19:27, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
