I am going to assume that the listing of two "20% cast time reduction"s was a typo. Unless it really has a total of 40% reduction, making it broken and uber. Can we get a confirmation and an edit?--Zev 21:20, 2 November 2006 (CST)
- Nope, there are 2 HCT mods. There's a Death Magic equivalent too. It's not broken, as the first HCT mod is an inscription and the second is a staff head. You can get HCT heads for staves now.172.206.21.9 06:50, 18 November 2006 (CST)
- The two mods are rolled separately. See discussion on Vanahk's Staff here: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Talk:Vanahk%27s_Staff --Glacialfury 25 December 2006
- It is halves casting time (Chance 20%) Not 20% reduction. Galaxy of Elements 11:12, 21 January 2007 (CST)
- If the chance of halving cast time is calculated by mathematical probality, its not 40%. Its 20% from 100% and 20% from remaining 80% (after decresing 100% to 80% from first calculatio). Then it makes 36% together which is not very different from 40% but its mathemaically correct. Zeratul 07:14, 4 February 2007 (CST)

And now in 1 answer... is it an HCT 40% or 20% chance? (a simple yes or no would do).
- It's 20%+20% - each mod works separately, e.g. from 25 spell 5 will have HCT, another 5 will have HCT, and 1 form these 10 spells will cast four time faster (lightning hammer will cast in 0.5 sec, not in 2 sec)
- No. --JP 16:19, 22 February 2007 (CST) 32% and a 4% of Quarter Casting Time (if they haven't put a cap on it) ;o)
- No, 36% half, 4% quarter.--Reason.decrystallized 21:43, 26 July 2007 (CDT)
