Rata Sum is an anagram for Mursaat, just rearrange the letters. The Asura call this place home, and have the Summon Mursaat skill.. I smell conspiracy... --Gravemind 21:57, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

Maybe a eruption form the fire islands directly south somehow tarnished the land, not sure what that even means tho, the area is beautiful.--Alari 23:42, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
