Is it possible to control the update, i.e. disabling the streaming and therefore just downloading updates if they are really neccessary (e.g. when entering and loading a new area)?

Unaware of any options for delaying the updates, but they are considered as "low priority" within the GW client and so should not impact greatly on your gameplay experience (but recommend to dial-up and "lowband" users, to just let the downloads completed if can they can wait the few minutes it usually takes). --Wolfie (talk|contribs) 09:45, 17 April 2007 (CDT)

Believe this functionality has now been integrated into the Performance Monitor, and so if someone could independently confirm this, a cutdown version of the information here could be posted over to that article, and then delete this one. --Wolfie (talk|contribs) 09:45, 17 April 2007 (CDT)
