[edit] My theory on this bow and its name

The developers had planned to release the original Mursaat Hornbow in Nightfall, as a renamed inscribable drop. The bow is actually made up of floating shards of stone, so the name fits perfectly. However, something happened just before release- but too late to remove the item altogether?- that forced the devs to substitute the regular Hornbow instead. It could have been complaints from high-end players that releasing what was once the rarest bow as an extremely common drop would be unfair to their precious rangers, or it could have been the fact that Mursaat style bows dropping in Nightfall wouldn't make any sense. 09:23, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
