Ivory Bow has armor penetration but this one does not. I'm guessing the equivalency here refers to the visual appearance. Do we need to further elaborate? I don't think this has the same range as the long bow either - will test more. --Ishmaeel 23:45, 7 March 2006 (CST)

Yeah, the Stinger's "equivalency" has been questioned and edited/counteredited in the last weeks. What exactly do we mean by equivalent? Is it the looks or is it the stats? Stinger looks identical to an ivory bow, yet it does not act like one. I'm elaborating a bit on the line in question so there will be no more edits back and forth. Please correct any mistakes I may make. --Ishmaeel 15:22, 22 March 2006 (CST)

Actually it does act like one, I thought. Horn Bow and Ivory Bow belong to the same class of bows. Personally I prefer calling it a Horn Bow, because the stats for a horn bow is clear (explained on Isle of Nameless), whereas less ppl know off the top of their head that Ivory's stats are same as Horn. -SolaPan 15:24, 22 March 2006 (CST)
Heh. I was just about to put this in:
Stinger has the appearance of an Ivory Bow, but it has the characteristics of a Poisoner's Hornbow of Marksmanship.
Just then I realized horn bow has armor piercing capability too. Stinger's description does not mention armor piercing. Is it a hidden innate property? I gotta go hit the Isle of the Nameless now to test the Stinger. About horn, ivory and shadow bow all being the same class: I feel so dumb now:).--Ishmaeel 15:34, 22 March 2006 (CST)
Armor piercingness of the horn bow class are all innate hidden ability, but the master of bows on the isle talks about the ability. -SolaPan 15:51, 22 March 2006 (CST)

Attacking Range[]

I made two tests for normal attack range: one is in Churrhir Fields and the second is in the Isle of the Nameless.

From the first test, the longest reach was the recurve test dummy and when I went to Isle of the Nameless, the range of the bow on the Recurve dummy seemed to be out of reach from where you're suppose to stand.

Has anyone ever made a test like this? I made several attempts on using it in isle of the nameless, at first, I thought I'm just lagging or something. I went in and out to see any change but to no avail. I still end up short. Is there a terrain difference between the two places?

The Isle of the Nameless is very clunky. They are both flat as a dime, by the way. --- Ohaider!-- (s)talkpage 21:10, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
See my response on the talk of Image B. It's not just The Stinger. Its all Composite/Recurve Bows. -- Isk8 User:Isk8(T/C) 21:11, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
