Talk:Spear of Light
From GuildWiki
Anyone know if Spear of Light's arc resembles a Longbow or a Flatbow? Xiu Kuro 01:46, 9 August 2006 (CDT)
- Personally, it's a pretty long flight time and high arc. I would guess Flatbow but I don't play a ranger so I wouldn't know very well. --Vortexsam 01:48, 9 August 2006 (CDT)
- without compairing side by side, i'd say it's similar to Lightning Javelin more then anything else. --Honorable Sarah

[edit] "Spear of Light is better than Smite for most purposes."
Now that Smite is a Spell and not an Attack - and it's not even a projectile anymore - I feel this is not a valid point anymore. While Spear of Light deals more damage, it can easily be avoided by movement, whereas Smite is now unavoidable. It would really be best to just carry both in the skillbar. I just found something seeming to be a bug: I hit a Stoneflesh Mandragor in Arkjok Ward with it but only 19 points of damage showed up...!?? Where ist the holy damage of 50 points as it is armor ignoring? Anyone knows? A Bug? tapps75 11:25, 17 December 2006 (CST)
- They use Stoneflesh Aura. — Skuld 11:27, 17 December 2006 (CST)
- Always amazing how blind humans can be! Now I got it. Thank you. tapps75 13:06, 18 December 2006 (CST)
[edit] Most Damaging
I'm removing the note about this being the most damaging single strike skill in smiting, signet of aggression deals much more damage than this. --82.40.210.133 14:39, 17 July 2007 (CDT)
Uhhhh... no. Signet of Aggression does no damage whatsoever. Perhaps you were thinking of Signet of Rage?--Kirtar 16:02, 19 July 2007 (CDT)
You also have to remember that most of Signet of Rage's damage is conditional...and hope to never see a warrior or other meleers with 8 adrenaline skills...--Manbeast15 23:48, 19 July 2007 (CDT)
[edit] Availability
I'm using a Prophecies character, but I've found this skill available From Yokuni at Maatu Keep. I'm not sure if a Canthan character would have this skill available to them as well. Just FYI in case the info needs updating. -- Sabardeyn 14:01, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
- They only include the first skill trainer where it's available.
