The name sounds kind of like rotweiler if said in a certain way. Maybe add to Trivia section?

Its on a different page. --Shadowcrest 20:37, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Pfft, and I thought this game was meant to be for children too. (in response to unsigned comment) Bigrat2sAvatar Bigrat2 Talk 20:42, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

A whole mob of these in HM can really do damage to your party. Ebon Vanguard Sniper Support Huynh Sanity 03:48, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

About 2 weeks ago I came across a bunch of Wallows around an Island Guardian whilst in Hard Mode but they were called Tigers. When I saw the red name I initally thought an actual tiger had been aggro'd, then thought I'd come across an unfamiliar boss before realising they were all called "Tiger". Didn't think to get a screencap. Is this normal? Would have been past Pongmei before Cavalon. 79.70.224.183 02:52, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
Occasionally enemy monsters get their names switched with regular animals, we have seen a level 24 Bear with Spectral Agony, and others.--Gigathrash sig Gìğá†ħŕášħ 02:52, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Random knockdowns[]

While in hard mode, i was being attacked by these and getting knocked down every couple of hits. I know the Island Guardian was dead, and therefore it couldn't have been Signet of Judgement. Since Fetid Ground requires a knockdown for optimal effect, im assuming the rot wallows, like Tundra Giants, knock u down when they get a critical. N Segick 01:38, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Yep, confirmed by Linsey, added to page. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken 02:42, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
I just fought them in normal mode outside mattu keep, i used stoneflesh aura but they were still knocking me down , can anyone else pelase confirm that their kd's over-rides stoneflesh aura's ability to make u immune to ctiticals ? or maybe thye dont KD u on criticals at all, maybe its just a random % of their hit .. ? i will try and test some more when i get the time 90.209.46.99 15:48, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
Stoneflesh works a little diffrent. It only prevents the extra damage from the critical instead of the critical itself. If you try it with Stone Sheath, there should be no knockdowns Lยкץ๒๏ץ talk 16:03, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
