Names and SkinsEdit

Why are there often diffrent Names for the same Skin, as well as diffrent Skins for the same Name? -- Zerpha The Improver 07:26, 27 July 2007 (CDT)

It is cheaper to rename a skin then it is to create one. It is common practice within games to just rename something and maybe change the colour. Green weapons are renamed to distinguish them from other common weapons. And anet for some reason created a common/blue, purple and gold version of some skins which they did for some unknown reason. -- Xeon 08:10, 27 July 2007 (CDT)

That was more of a common practice in Prophecies were axe and hammer had 4 to 5 skin for the same name and vice versa but here I think it's just to separate them from non inscribable one.—├ Aratak ┤ 08:53, 27 July 2007 (CDT)

my theory on the B/P/G skins...4 or 5 devs workin on the same project came up with similar skins and they decided to use all of em. OR they just wanted a way to distinguish between rarity visually instead of just words.

on the "Sickle" skins(not specifically this one) some things that were called the same thing on different continents may have looked a bit different. OR they just didnt feel like makin a new name.

I saw one drop from the Underworld chest that appears when you finish all quests.

I was looking through the sword skins and I noticed that this has the exact same pic as Gothic Sword (from what I could tell) X Deity X 18:41, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
