- Your numbers for phantasm are doubled. --68.142.14.60 18:02, 7 July 2006 (CDT)
- Corrected now. Thanks for the spot check. --TheaLeonis 03:32, 8 July 2006 (CDT)
- Mantra of Persistence means that CP will win out, in general. But Images of Remorse is really nice for the spammability and cheap casting cost. — 130.58 (talk) (13:23, 8 July 2006 (CDT))
- Well, in absolute terms it increases damage for phantasm more, but with high illusion remorse is a little more efficient than phantasm with or without persistence (ignoring the "spike" damage). More importantly, I think, it usually only takes 5 energy to remove a hex no matter what the hex is. If I had to only bring one to PvP, it'd definitely be remorse. --68.142.14.7 15:44, 8 July 2006 (CDT)
- Err, sorry, what I was trying to get across was that Mantra of Persistence does a lot more to help CP than IoW. — 130.58 (talk) (21:35, 8 July 2006 (CDT))
- My thesis is that Images of Remorse is a good complement or even alternative to Conjure Phantasm on a mesmer degen build, based on damage return for energy. I definitely recognize the Mantra of Persistence point boosts CP more. If no one sees a major flaw in my thinking, I'm going to move the comparison table into the article as part of a usage note. --TheaLeonis 19:25, 12 July 2006 (CDT)
- I use both. IoR is a great cover for CP as it will do bonus damage on an attacker,it's spammable and it's cheap. You can combat the cast time with FC.Labmonkey 10:02, 21 September 2006 (CDT)

Nerfed for great justice! 5 energy -4 degen was too cheap, in any case.
[edit] Images of Remorse vs Hex Breaker
When cast on a Warrior who has Hex Breaker active, the hex fails. However, if the Warrior is attacking, he will take damage from the conditional effect of this Hex Spell. Greven 16:19, 7 August 2006 (CDT)
[edit] Hmmm
I would have to say that when you cast this hex on a non attacking foe that they dont get the bonus damage
