I think the Notes is wrong. The effect is in the "adjacent zone", Heal Area is in the "area zone", energy cost is different, ...
- The description implies it will not heal the caster, also. Removed the note. --Fyren 11:50, 22 September 2006 (CDT)
- Can you point me to the help page where it explains how to sign and date comments,etc... ? Thanks --Uber Any
- Add four tildes to get a signature like mine (I have two dashes in front). There's a button on the edit toolbar that looks like a signature that will insert them for you. In the text below the "save page" button it tells you how to sign comments. Our help pages suck, but you can try looking through Wikipedia's, though not all of it applies. --Fyren 12:34, 22 September 2006 (CDT)

Made for Minion Masters? --Macros†(talk) 16:21, 25 September 2006 (CDT)
- Not really. An MM uses Heal Area only between fights, when all minions stand around the MM. Energy is not a concern then and the healing effect is the same.
- In fights, BotM is the only practial minion heal. If anything, Heal Area is better for MMs because of half recharge compared to this. RolandOfGilead 14:08, 26 September 2006 (CDT)
Does this give a DF bonus to the caster? We should add a note if it does. And if it does, this skill could be useful here and there. --Carmine 16:47, 3 October 2006 (CDT)
- Actually, Heal Area heals those adjacent as well. It does not actually heal creatures "in the area." Tarinoc 23:11, 3 October 2006 (CDT)
For the minion mastery--No.
Minion masters, in between fights, use BotM a couple of times, use Heal Area, and then repeat until their minions are healed. With this, you do not get a self-heal, and if your minions are low enough, you will OD on BotM. Also, the energy isn't a problem, just wait for a while in between mass heals. Of course, any problem with a dedicated minion master is that real people tend to not care you need to heal, and go on ahead while your Golem is stuck or you're healing. [/slightly offtopic]

If anything, yes, this is for minion mastery, but with Hero MMs in mind. With the quick recharge and higher cost of Heal Area, the heroes tend to sap their energy easier (as they tend to use it even with the slightest damage). Whereas with this, it will make it much easier to manage their energy, which is important with the infamous Soul Reaping nerf. While this is not a self-heal, this is unnecessary in most group situation where a hero would be used, as the monks (generally even heroes) should be capable of taking care of the majority of healing, making self-heals unnecessary in most circumstances.
