Talk:Guild Wars: Special Edition
From GuildWiki
I've probably added a lot more detail than is strictly necessary. But hey, we're all obsessive game fans here, right?
Right? --Havral Glommon 06:41, 1 March 2006 (CST)
- Sure. It's cool. Information is good. =) I didn't know most of this stuff, and I got the Collector's Edition. --JoDiamonds 06:52, 1 March 2006 (CST)
- Hmm, my Spec. ed. account key was in a tear edge cardboard thing, not a hard plastic card. This was different from the US version of the regular edition, which had a card with a scratch off siver covering (like lotto scratch cards) that many people complained caused the code to be scratched off at the same time as the siver stuff covering it. The funny thing about the US spec ed. though is that it appears to be the exact as the European version, including the European videogame ratings on it as opposed to the US ratings. --Rainith 06:54, 1 March 2006 (CST)
Should this be called "Guild Wars Special Edition" instead? -PanSola 06:59, 1 March 2006 (CST)
- That is what I originally had the link set as (in DirectSong). It wouldn't be a bad idea, then in the future we'll have similar entries for Factions Special Edition, etc... --Rainith 07:07, 1 March 2006 (CST)
- Yeah, we can't apply the Prophecies name retroactively to products :) --Karlos 11:01, 1 March 2006 (CST)
I'm curious - are the unlocks for specific skills/upgrades, or did the buyer get to choose them? -HarshLanguage 10:16, 7 December 2006 (CST)
I would also like to know what specific skills can be unlocked with said code. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.227.15.44 (contribs) 21:31, 5 March 2007 (UTC).
- The buyer gets to choose them. What they don't mention well enough however, is that it is NOT the Collector's Edition. I recently found out that Anet cheated me out of the Divine Aura that way (I bought the wrong product thinking they were the same) and I am going to try and get it regardless. I would have bought the real CE if I had known (and back then, it was still possible to get it). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 145.94.74.23 (contribs) 20:03, 15 August 2007 (UTC).
quote: "Code for unlocking skills, weapon and armor upgrades (Runes) - Specifically, 7 normal skills, 1 Elite skill, 2 weapon upgrades or runes."
- question: Are any of these available in presearing and if so, what? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 98.220.144.115 (contribs) 19:57, 26 June 2008 (UTC).
