I would give a reply, but...nothing appropriate comes to mind... :p No seriously though. Probably because it's Alliteration, it makes the name sound better phonetically. It would be like "Shamu the Stubborn" I am guessing: firm as in unbending, immovable, impenetrable, resolute. Or perhaps heavy-handed. For some reason it reminds me of Holt the Iron Boot Heel.
