Talk:Competition Arenas
From GuildWiki
I've added a faction format and a minor description beyond the 'Guild Wars' description. It's also my first edit - so change if needed! --Rustjive 23:10, 26 October 2005 (EST)
This looks like it's torn between actually describing Arenas in general vs. the specific location near Lion's Arch. We need to separate the Arena information from the location information (which is more like every other location page). Specifically, this talks extensively about the Arena near Lion's Arch, but a page about "Competition Arenas" should include the PvE only Ascalon Arena and the arena near Yak's Bend (Shiverpeak Arena?). I'd really need to be home (not at work like I of course am) to verify some of that stuff, but this page definitely needs breaking in two. (See also Team Arena, which is sort of misnamed.) --JoDiamonds 06:49, 3 November 2005 (EST)
Does Competition Arenas still exist since the Jan 19th update? I would have thought it would have been merged into Battle Isles somehow. In fact, I have a feeling the entire arena structure has been changed (I seem to remember a Select Mission button somewhere). I don't know if Ascalon/Shiverpeak/Team Arenas exist now either... - Kidburla: Correct. The Competition Arena at Lion's Arch has been closed down. The icon is no longer on the map and the Arena Guard has been removed. Similar for the Team Arena. It is no longer accessible at Droknar's Forge, the Arena Guard has been removed. It's been moved to the Battle Isles. I'll make some changes about this today. --
