[edit] Does he exist ?

After the 4th quest from Imperial Guard Hanso (Darkness at Kaitan), the guard mentions that Captain Rujiyo will have more work for us....does anyone know if he exists and where he is? --Torins 01:33, 30 June 2006 (CDT)

Been looking for him for an hour now.. No dice. --Karlos 02:01, 30 June 2006 (CDT)
Wild speculation here on my part, but I'm guessing he'll show up somewhere after the conclusion of the Dragon Festival. --Rainith 09:48, 30 June 2006 (CDT)
Me and a few other people at nine rings have made a theory that he (and future npcs) will appear each new day of the festival. --Torins 10:03, 30 June 2006 (CDT)
Heard it on the grapevine that he'll pop up in Ran Musu Gardens when the game next updates. --Karlos 12:59, 30 June 2006 (CDT)
He's in the Monastery now. --Kanga 23:08 1 July 2006 (CDT)

[edit] Captain in Shing Jea

← Moved from Talk:Darkness at Kaitan

Just got a message saying Captain is in shing jea and needs capable heroes help. WOuld check it out but currently in urgoz. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 202.7.166.174 (talk • contribs) 22:03, 1 July 2006 (CDT).

On the mission thing he sends you on, there are monsters from the Ruins of the Tomb of the Primeval Kings. Apparently you're supposed to fight them with a 4 man party. Ick. Noob4sure 22:15, 1 July 2006 (CDT)
o.0 how is this possible??? -mindule
Not as impossible as it seems. Think about which groups can do Tombs/UW/FoW well and see which can apply to this area. Hint: Ranger. =P I've gotten pretty far in only 2 tries, but that was only because team members had to leave. --Ryard 23:04, 1 July 2006 (CDT)

Here's some talking from the Monastery:

Captain Rujiyo: Canthans, our troops report enemy forces arriving en masse. Check in with me to receive battle orders!
Imperial Guard Musashi: Captain! Enemy forces have been sighted all across Haiju Lagoon.
Captain Rujiyo: Do we have spare troops to assign to that region?
Imperial Guard Musashi: No Captain, all troops are currently engaged.
Captain Rujiyo: We need to organize anyone with a fighting experience. Those rifts must be closed!
Captain Rujiyo: Get back to the lagoon and monitor their movements. I'll send reinforcements as soon as I can.
Imperial Guard Musashi: Yes, Captain. Right away!

Well, I just beat the mission. You win 50 Jade orbs. whoop de freakin do.-mindule

Yeah. 50 Orbs. I got more for killing friggin' Yetis. The mission is a waste of time and as far as I can tell, it doesn't lead to another mission. The only real rewards I see are the drops, which aren't that great, and seeing the new enemy, the Torment Claw, which is a big brown claw that swipes at you if you get close.... Whoopee...--Arch Cuisinart 23:24, 1 July 2006 (CDT)

But the Torment Claw is so much fun when you're a caster! Oh, and did the Acolyte get here with the Captain?-- mindule

We did it old school. Tank, ele, SS and monk. Pretty straight forward if you know what's coming. We knew they were probably the same crowd from the tombs because of the Lesser Grasps, so tanks didnt bring many attacks (blind most of the time) and casters kept their distance and we cleared it first try. Definitely not worth the trouble however. You'd get more Orbs killing Mantis in Kinya Province. :( I think it's bugged or something. --Karlos 01:14, 2 July 2006 (CDT)
Everyone in Alliance chat is currently organising parties for these missions, as apparently completion of them all yields a title. any more info on this? This would explain the low orb reward.

Just as a note, at 4am PDT on July 2nd he changed back to sending people to Haiju Lagoon. --Rainith 06:07, 2 July 2006 (CDT)

[edit] New Green?

I heard someone advertising an "Anduril Rujiyo" as a new green from this mission. Has anyone found this?

[edit] Jaya Bluffs, or Hajii Lagoon

I'm pretty sure which mission is offered to you is dependent on the time. I'm fairly certain that at 4pm (BST) it switched from Hajii to Jaya, and then @ 8pm (BST) it swapped back again. So it's my firm belief that each mission is only available for a 4 hour window. If I'm right, there'll be a switch back again, in about 20 minutes.

I was right, it's now 12pm (BST) and he's back to offering Jaya Bluffs again.. so it appears to be on a timer. Every 4 hours he swaps between Jaya Bluffs, and Hajii Lagoon.
I think this announcement appears when he switched areas:

Bang on 4am (BST) and the announcement has appeared again (and I was in Droks @ the time, is that really a good idea to do a worldwide announcement to all and sundry when most of the peeps still in Tyria do not have access to Cantha), and now it's back to Hajii Lagoon. So that pretty much nails it as being on a timer.
Looks like the timer has changed to every 2 hours, and now offers Tsumei Village, and Seitung Harbor as well as Jaya Bluffs and Hajii Lagoon
How would you know if Tyria-only chars just don't see that message?
Tyria-only accounts do see the message. I know. I've seen it. -User:PanSola (talk to the Image:follower of Lyssa.png) 20:03, 4 July 2006 (CDT)

[edit] New Mission

The Tsumei Village mission he's currently offering is a new one! --84.167.24.151 03:19, 4 July 2006 (CDT)
