Talk:Blinding Snow
From GuildWiki
The point in this being? Blind doesn't do anything, since spells aren't stopped by blind... The interupt is the only point in this skill, am I correct? Jay332 00:01, 21 December 2006 (CST)
Fairly sure the interrupt is the only effect that matters. The snowball is a spell, so blind shouldn't effect it. It's great for interrupting Hidden Rock when you're running with the presents though.
Blind can be used as a cover Condition, say, over Dazed. That stops Grenth's side from using Yellow Snow to remove it.
[edit] Blind does have an affect
(or at least supposedly) For projectile spells, blind has an increased chance for the projectiles to 'stray'. How much? seems small and unknown. Does it display the "stray" message if you do... unsure. I always thought blind would be best for dragon arena.
- Blind "Condition. While suffering from this ailment, your melee and missile attacks have a 90% chance to "miss." Your projectiles also have a greater chance to stray from their intended target. " - so maybe it really has an effectArcheont 16:54, 30 December 2006 (CST)
- I have experienced several times that being blinded actually makes snowball skills more accurate, not less. During the underworld quest against the Grentches, there is one Grentch on a ledge below the boss which uses Blinding Snow. Whereas my normal snowballs would miss due to difference in elevation and terrain obstruction (the snowball would follow a wrong course and the obstruction message would pop up), being blinded made the snowballs follow the proper arc and actually hit the enemy from the same location. I frequently exploited this during the times I did the Underworld quest against the Grentches. -- Quizer 06:53, 14 February 2007 (CST)
