A Superior Salvage Kit is a set of tools used to salvage useful supplies from the junk dropped by your defeated enemies.

Description

Double-click to salvage upgrade components and crafting materials (rare or common) from an item.

From all merchants in the following regions for 2 :
- Prophecies: Crystal Desert, Southern Shiverpeaks, Ring of Fire Islands
- Factions: All regions except Shing Jea Island
- Nightfall: All regions except Istan
- Eye of the North: All regions

Spending reward trophies on Superior Identification Kits is a better deal than spending them on standard Identification Kits.
- Trading 3 trophies for an Expert kit (25 uses) gives a value of 25/3 = 8.3 uses/trophy.
- Trading 5 trophies for a Superior kit (100 uses) gives a value of 100/5 = 20 uses/trophy.
Buying one with gold, however, is a waste of money.
- Buying an Expert kit for 400 gives a value of 400/25 = 16 /use.
- Buying a Superior kit for 2 gives a value of 2000/100 = 20 /use.

The item is then converted into a [[crafting material]], [[weapon upgrade]] or [[rune]], whichever is applicable.  The [[salvage]]d [[weapon upgrade]] or [[rune]] will then appear in the first open slot in your inventory.  Either [[common crafting material|common]] or [[rare crafting material|rare]] crafting materials will be stacked with like crafting materials, up to 250 units at which time a new stack is created in the first open [[inventory|inventory space]].  If no free spot is available, the item will not be [[salvage]]d and you will see a text message informing you of the situation.
