Seal Guards are the spirits of the Chosen who were slaughtered upon the Bloodstones by the White Mantle. They are forced to power the Soul Batteries to keep the Door of Komalie closed. Breaking open those batteries is part of the Abaddon's Mouth mission, thereby releasing these spirits. Time and imprisonment has changed many of them though, so they're hostile and attack in groups of 3-4.
