Onyx Gemstones are rare crafting materials. The only known locations are:
- Reward Chests and Hidden Treasure chests in dungeons.
- Quest reward for completing In the Service of Revenge
- As a reward for completing all quests in The Fissure of Woe at the Temple of War, inside the Chest of Woe.
- Rare Material Traders

Onyx Gemstones are used to craft Destroyer Weapons.

- The art for Onyx Gemstones was previously used as the icon for the Obsidian Shard prior to the update on Wednesday, 29th of June, 2005.
- There was no space in the Xunlai for Onyx Gemstones until the 23rd of August, 2007.
