A Lunar Fortune acts similar to a Wintersday Gift, however, in addition to producing festival items, it can also apply blessing-like effects to your character.

Lunar Fortunes can be acquired in exchange for 3 Lunar Tokens from the Lunar Fortune Giver in Shing Jea Monastery, or for a win in rock-paper-scissors vs Lucky Hochei in Lions Arch.

This is a list of the items and effects that may be produced by a Lunar Fortune:
- Your new year will be a blessed one!
- You will find bad luck in this new year ...or bad luck will find you!
- Something special is in your future!
- 100 Gold
- You will have a prosperous new year!
- You will celebrate a festive new year!
- Miniature Pig (2007)/Miniature Celestial Rat (2008)/Miniature Celestial Ox (2009)
- Your new year will be blessed by the celestials themselves!

- Lunar fortunes display the year they were given out. For example, 2007 was the Year of the Pig so fortunes obtained during that year are displayed as: Lunar Fortune [Year of the Pig].
- Lunar fortunes from each year can only contain miniatures from the appropriate year regardless of when they are opened.
- If a Party Favor is won, it drops on the ground, assigned to the player. It is not placed directly in inventory, but must be picked up instead.
