Account Login Pane when a network failure occurs while in the Character selection screen

The Login Screen is the screen that displays when you first start Guild Wars. You can manage your account, graphic, sound & game settings from this screen. You also get in-game announcements in the Announcement Pane. At the bottom of the Login Screen there is a checkbox, "Hide UI". 10 seconds after checking this box, the User Interface will become invisible. Moving your mouse or pressing a key will make it visible again. Next to the "Hide UI" checkbox is the Options button & The Performance Monitor. After logging in, you will be taken to the Character selection screen.

[edit] Notes

  • You can create a new account or recover a forgotten password at this screen. You can also add access keys to an existing account.
  • The background of the Login Screen changes with each new Campaign release.
  • The "Hide UI" checkbox will remember its last state after you close the game client.
  • You can automatically bypass the Login Screen by using command line switches.
  • If your connection changes while in the Character selection screen (IP changes, network failure), a pop-up will show asking you to reenter your password.
