Lionesses can be tamed as pets by using the Ranger skill, Charm Animal.

- Level 12 Lionesses can be charmed after coming out of portal from Command Post into Jahai Bluffs and going to northwest corner. There will be a group of Aggressive Lionesses and a couple of Aggressive Lions. If you have Henchmen with you, send them away, as the Lionesses are weak and would be killed by them quickly. Note that these only appear before finishing the quest The Great Zehtuka.
- Guild Wars Lionesses resemble real-world female African Lions (Panthera Leo).
- The Lioness' model and sounds are also used by the Melandru's Stalker pet, though the coloring is different.
