Kournan Coins are offered as rewards for doing certain quests in Kourna. There are three Smugglers located in the Command Post who will offer various rewards in exchange for the Kournan Coins.
The following quests reward Kournan Coins:
- The Dejarin Estate (2 awarded)
- Family Ties (Nightfall)
- Drake in a Cage
- Feeding Frenzy
- The Foolhardy Father
- A Little Recon
- Koss's Elixir
- Fish in a Barrel
- You Can Run...
- Weird Waters
- Centaur Concerns
- Mirza's Last Stand
- A Bushel of Trouble
- Troubled Lands
- Ancestral Anguish
- Total Corruption
- Battle of Turai's Procession
- Estate Planning
- Tendering an Offer
- For a Price
- Secrets in the Shadow
- The Great Zehtuka (2 awarded)
- The Young Lady Vanishes
- A Message for Janeera
- A Question of Morality
- Only one Kournan Coin may be received as a reward from either For a Price or Secrets in the Shadow due to the quests being mutually exclusive.

[edit] Converting to Cash
Like most quest items, Kournan Coins cannot be sold to merchants, and cannot be salvaged. Therefore, the best rate for converting these directly to cash is purchasing and selling Superior Salvage Kits, which will pay out 200 
per coin (1
per kit, 1 kit per 5 coins). Of course, keeping and using the kits may be even more profitable. In any case, do not sell them to other players for less than 200 per coin.
Other uses of Kournan Coins will usually have a lower savings value than 200 per coin.
Keeping the Superior Salvage Kit gives you an even better rate, as each one is equivalent to 4 expert salvage kits, which cost 400 each. Thus, if you use it for personal use, the potential value of 5 coins is 1.6 (or 320 each): well worth keeping.
