The Ice Beast is a hovering creature resembling a floating octopus. It can be found in a cave in the northeastern corner of Mineral Springs. The cave is occupied by Ice Imps and through this cave (up a slope), the Ice Beast can be found in a tight tunnel. Immediately beyond it is a Seer. When approached, a group of Azure Shadows spawn in the vicinity. When killed, the Ice Beast drops a Spectral Essence which the Seer uses to infuse the armor worn by the players, thus giving them a fighting chance against the Mursaat.

The Ice Beast is identical to the Eidolon (the Seer even refers to it as an Eidolon).
