GuildWiki:Privacy policy

This is a currently proposed policy, per the guidelines set out in GuildWiki:Policy. If consensus is reached in the talk page, this notice can be removed and the policy category can be added. If it is decided as un-needed, this notice can be removed and replaced with the failed policy category.

GuildWiki does not collect any personal information about users. We don't even require an email address when you create an account. However, you can later add an email address to your preferences - this email will not be shown to other users, it will only be used by the MediaWiki software if someone uses the Special:Emailuser form to send you a message.

Of course, this does not prevent you from posting your personal information anywhere on the wiki. Just remember that as a free resource on the internet, GuildWiki is accessible by anyone in the world, and thus your personal information could be taken and used by someone with malicious intent. GuildWiki is not responsible for the actions of its users, nor is it liable for any damages that may occur as a result of a user posting personal information on GuildWiki.
