To be used only in the most extreme of cases:

1. on a page which has been repeatedly vandalised and is evidently in need of protecting.
2. on templates heavily used by a huge number of often-accessed articles

To use it, Enter: {{protect|reason|to be protected from}} See Template:Protect

[edit] When not to use it

• After one or two small vandalisms.
• After a page has been blanked.
• If a page has consistently been flagged for deletion.

[edit] When to use it

• When a page has been repeatedly vandalised.
• When "bad" links have been repeatedly put on a page.
• When a page is completely finished, and will not be changed.
