This page is a style and formatting guideline on GuildWars Wikia.

It has general acceptance among editors and is considered a standard to which articles should adhere. However, it is not set in stone and should be treated with common sense and the occasional exception.

This article provides information on starting, expanding, and completing articles on unique items.

Syntax Example

The following is the syntax for a hypothetical unique sword dropped by Undead Prince Rurik.

is a unique item dropped
by Undead Prince Rurik in Hell's Precipice.

*Damage +15% (while enchanted)

*Health +30

Collector / Weaponsmith counterpart
This weapon's stats can be fully replicated with:

Detailed Explanation

Stub Tag

Unfinished unique item articles should use unique-item-stub at the top.

Image

The image should not contain the item stats, and should be closely cropped picture of the unique item in question to minimize showing of the character holding it or the surroundings. Ideally, the picture should be taken against a neutral background that complements the item's colors: light items on a grey background (walls in Cantha are good), and dark items on a light blue (sky) or yellow background (several Guild Halls).

Description

State what mob(s) drop the unique item in question.

Weapon/Shield Stats

Give a text listing for stats of the unique item. The stats should not be shown in an image. Follow closely the in-game description of the item. Link to relevant articles in the GuildWiki.

Collector / Weaponsmith counterpart

If the innate mods of the item can be fully or nearly duplicated at a collector or weaponsmith, then give the recipe to create a duplicate of the item.

Notes

In this optional section give relevant information not provided in the sections above.

Category

Categorize the weapon as appropriate. See the subcategories of Category:Unique Items to figure out what the correct category is.
