A Necromancer focus item available in the first three Guild Wars campaigns. Grim Cestas are normally tied to Curses or Death Magic, with death cestas resembling gauntlets and curse cestas resembling diamond-shaped shields.

There are several other skins available for Grim Cestas in the Prophecies campaign. One version resembles a gorgon head and is linked to the Curses attribute. Another rare version resembles a large mummified bird talon, which is tied to Death Magic. There are also Grim Cestas that look like the stone knife variant of Idols available as quest rewards. Tyrian collectors offer Grim Cestas tied to every Necromancer attribute except Curses.

There is a Grim Cesta that resembles a Blood Knife and has a -50hp property, which is used mainly by Invincible Monks. It is obtained as the quest reward for Cities of Ascalon.

Grim Cestas cannot be dyed. Attempting to do so results in the dye making the appropriate sound for dyeing, but returning to its position in your inventory.
