The Grentch Cap was the hat given out in districts supporting Grenth during Wintersday 2008.
The Grentch Cap is a special event headpiece that was distributed on the final day of the Wintersday 2008 event at the end of visits by the Avatar of Grenth (NPC), who appeared every 3 hours in Lion's Arch and Kamadan along with the Avatar of Dwayna (NPC). It would appear in the inventory of players at the beginning of the fireworks if Grenth won the contest with Dwayna by gathering more Candy Cane Shards from a game of chance (everyone in the district, including Dwayna supporters, would receive one).

- Item can be upgraded with runes.
- Item can not be dyed.
- Item can not be upgraded with armor insignias.
- Item can not be salvaged.
Like all armor, this item is customized, and while it may be traded, it can only be worn by the character that originally received it. However, this hat may be copied for any PvE character on a given account using the Festival hat maker.
