Green Hills County dye farming guide

The following route is useful for gaining experience points up until level 9, when Hulking Stone Elementals will reward 0xp. Typically this route will give the following drops: Silver Dye, Orange Dye, Green Dye, Blue Dye, Purple Dye, Yellow Dye and White Dye in addition to hundreds of Enchanted Lodestones.

To make the most money it could be best not to pick up non-magical items unless you have plenty of Salvage Kits with you. If you salvage everything possible, you may end up with far more Iron Ingots, Wood Planks, and Granite Slabs than you will ever need. Alternatively, you could continuously travel back and forth to Rolf.

• Enchanted Lodestones (Granite Slabs), Gargoyle Skulls (Bones), Unnatural Seeds (Plant Fiber), Worn Belts (Tanned Hide Square)

Farming Experience

• Many reports claim that there are more dye between the Aloe Husks, Aloe Seeds, Bandit Raiders, Bandit Firestarters than the other creatures. Counting this in will tell you that the map given below is no longer accurate, the map states farming should be done in and around the cave that has Hulking Stone Elementals, Stone Elementals in it and a small part of Catacombs filled with Gargoyles. This can however be dismissed due changes in the drops occuring all over GW. Reports given are telling that there is more dye findable more south of the Hulking Stone Elementals, Stone Elementals cave, reports of getting 5 to 7 dyes in a single run of all kinds (including black). This might be taken into account if you wish to dye-farm, if you don't like to keep running to a merchant you should get charr-bags. I myself have this experience as well, tried to run the existing farm run but this ended up in nothing at all.

This works very well, but works even better if you go a little bit more south to the aloe seeds. They drop dyes more consistently.

There are three important destination vectors:

A. 10 Gargoyles, 6 Stone Elementals, 2 Hulking Stone Elementals

• Northeast of The Barradin Estate exists the entrance to the Catacombs from Green Hills County. The entrance leads to a cavernous room populated by Gargoyles. A bridge connects this room to a passageway that leads to Oberan the Reviled. There are 7 Gargoyles before the bridge, 1 on the bridge, and 2 more on the other side. Since the Gargoyles are not aggressive, consider them sitting targets which will better your chances of finding items of your desire. Kill them all and then head out to Green Hills County. On the path to Destination B, there are immediately 2 Hulking Stone Elementals and 3 Stone Elementals. Before reaching Destination B, there are 3 Stone Elementals which should be killed before or after clearing Destination B.

B. 6 Hulking Stone Elementals

• At the center of this cavern, a pond serves as a convergence point for 4 Hulking Stone Elementals. 2 Hulking Stone Elementals are immediately outside the exit from the cavern. From Destination B to Destination C, there is a field populated with Aloe Seeds, Aloe Husks, Bandit Raiders, and Bandit Firestarters.

C. 4 Stone Elementals, 3 Hulking Stone Elementals

• At the end of a walled passage, there are 2 Stone Elementals and 1 Hulking Stone Elemental, which are immediately succeeded by 1 Hulking Stone Elemental. 2 Stone Elementals and 1 Hulking Stone Elemental stand on the path which returns to Destination A.
