The Great Dwarf is the deity that the Deldrimor Dwarves worship. The Dwarves believe him to be the greatest smith, having taught them the arts of mining and crafting in which they excel. They believe he left Tyria and now lives in the Great Forge, heaven for the Dwarves. Few among them believe he will ever return. Presently, there are no known depictions of the Great Dwarf.

The Stone Summit do not seem to revere the Great Dwarf.

Brother Mhenlo seems to find the monotheistic worship of this deity "foolish" (from his quote "The mountain folk have a belief in what they call the Great Dwarf. Imagine that. A single god. How foolish.").

According to Dwarven legends:

• The Great Dwarf's forge was the Anvil shaped rock at Anvil Rock.
• The Great Dwarf fought with the Great Destroyer and banished his name from existence so that he may never be known. (See the quest Unspeakable, Unknowable).
