Globs of Ectoplasm, often referred to as Ecto, are rare crafting materials.
[edit] Usage
Globs of Ectoplasm are mainly used to craft Obsidian armor:
Warrior Obsidian armor
Ranger Obsidian armor
Monk Obsidian armor
Necromancer Obsidian armor
Mesmer Obsidian armor
Elementalist Obsidian armor
Assassin Obsidian armor
Ritualist Obsidian armor
Paragon Obsidian armor
Dervish Obsidian armor
Other armor crafted with Globs of Ectoplasm:
Crafting Obsidian armor is done by the Eternal Forgemaster, who is in the Fissure of Woe. Crafting Chaos Gloves is done by Gobrech Stonefoot in the Central Transfer Chamber.
Their high value also makes them useful as currency, especially for trades of more than 100 platinum as one cannot carry more than 100 platinum in the inventory.

- In the Underworld:
- Banished Dream Rider
- (Including Ghozer Dhuum, Kazhad Dhuum, Madruk Dhuum and Thul Za Dhuum of The Four Horsemen quest.)
- Bladed Aatxe
- Charged Blackness
- Dead Collector
- Dead Thresher
- Keeper of Souls
- Mindblade Spectre
- Smite Crawler
- Terrorweb Dryder
- (including Terrorweb Queen)
- Wailing Lord
- Skeleton of Dhuum (only during Halloween 2009)
- Banished Dream Rider
- In the Ruins of the Tomb of the Primeval Kings:
- In the Fissure of Woe:
- In the Maguuma Jungle:
- Ravager (Extremely rare, most players will never see a Ravager drop an Ecto).

So far, only Obsidian armor and Chaos Gloves may turn into Globs of Ectoplasm when you salvage them.

- These should not be confused with Mursaat Tokens, as they look very similar.
- The Glob of Frozen Ectoplasm is the Wintersday 2006, Wintersday 2007 and Wintersday 2008 variant of the Glob of Ectoplasm, but it is not a Crafting Material and has no use other than the creation of Yuletide Tonic.
