The Gingerbread Shield is one of several special Candy weapons. It was only available during the Wintersday 2005 update, Wintersday 2006, Wintersday 2007 and Wintersday 2008 when it could be obtained as a reward from the quest The Greatest Snowman Ever Made and from the collector Candysmith Marley. If you look closely at the candy eyes, they appear to be M&M's™ bearing the letters "G" and "W.", which happens to be the most common abbrevation of Guild Wars.
