Image captures the path taken (though the Northward exploration was done in an earlier session and is not shown) and the extent to which the area can be cleared. Roughly 0.1% (of Tyria) can be uncovered (more if you have not already done a thorough scraping of the mission area). Numbering indicates the possible options:
1) Where Rurik's guard can be killed (detailed further in the enlarged area);
2) Bridge where Ettins or Snow wolves can be killed;
3) Where a snow wolf may be lured for re-entry from Rurik's path to the normal path;
4) Looks like a re-entry option but is not;
5) Spawn point where it is best to leave the single enemy alone;
The enlarged area shows detail for option 1. The highlighted enemy is the ice golem that killed one of Rurik's men. The other enemy is an engineer - by leaving him alive the mission will not end when Rurik dies.
